susally if a kid is bigger than every other player, they put them on the line with a "R" on the helmet and the kid isn't allowed to carry the ball. Y'all don't do that in Nola?

There's a weight limit in peewee ball around here. Big kids are restricted "R" and aren't allowed to carry the ball and run all over the normal size kids.

That's what they did to me as a kid... Only without the "R".
Normal weight for a 6 yr old is what 70-80 pounds? If a kid comes in weighing a 100 lbs, he's over the weight limit and won't be allowed to run the ball - he goes straight to the line instead.

Maybe they do things differently now, but playing in 13 & under leagues in Florida, the biggest and fastest guys got the ball, frick your "fairness".

We also had Allstar teams that got to travel, and guess what, the BEST players made those teams. frick your self-esteem.

We also kept score, LIKE MEN, GODDAMMIT. frick your feelings.

We had weight limits too, but if you were over the limit, you just couldn't play.

Had this issue. My birthday was right after cutoff date. I was 8yrs old, weighed 108lbs and playing in 6-7 league. Had to play line and coaches just told me to go after the ball. I really just belonged at Camp Hope.
