When he was 6, Fournette quit playing “park ball” — the youth leagues in New Orleans — because he didn’t want to run two laps around the park, the traditional start to every practice.

“I hated it,” he said. “I was like, ‘Man, that’s not for me.’ ”

A few years later, he returned. And at Hunter’s Field and Goretti’s Park, the legend began. At 12, his talent was too much. Parents from opposing teams signed a petition to have him banned.

“He was bigger than everyone,” says Corey Scott, Fournette’s uncle. “He basically just destroyed ‘park ball.’ He was running over all the kids.”

The kid has been a freak show for a long time now. Throw in the tale of he and his family living under the interstate for 5 days after Katrina and he's what Disney movies are made of.

Is that good?

Can we ban him from college and have him go to the NFL Hall of Fame already?

I'm pretty sure all the SEC coaches, minus Miles, are drawing up a similar petition for all to sign

Glad he got his attitude issues resolved. Couldn't run two laps to play ball.

Ususally if a kid is bigger than every other player, they put them on the line with a "R" on the helmet and the kid isn't allowed to carry the ball. Y'all don't do that in Nola?

That's what they did to me as a kid... Only without the "R".
