AU averaged 40 yards per game fewer rushing in 2010.

That's not a big difference. Alabama did not have a dominant defense that season, and they still managed to limit 2010 Auburn's ground game. That same ground game ran for 440 yards versus LSU, whose defense was arguably in the same ballpark as Alabama's.

I'm just saying that this year's offense might be as good as 2010's even though it is slightly different.

Alabama's defense is more dominant this season. At the very least, they're far more experienced and healthier than the one that faced Auburn 3 years ago. 2010 Alabama had 9 new defensive starters, and a few were hampered by injuries. The team had complacency issues and dealt with a rigorous schedule that featured 6 SEC teams coming off a bye week.

Over. Maybe 225 for us. Possibly more.

Bama has not faced a really good rushing attack this year. And even if they had, the zone read we run is more like a triple option. Last team they faced that ran a triple option went for 302 against a better defense than they have this year.

Need to have us some of this to win. And less over/under thrown balls.

Excellent logic.

40 ypg is a pretty decent difference.

Maybe. I was just responding to the comment about 2010 being Malzahn's best offense.

The key to the game won't be how well alabama can stop the run, it will be how well auburn can stop the run.

Let's not throw him under the bus on the SEC board....dude is busting his arse even though he misses plays we are used to seeing made. He played a pretty damn good game last week.

I hope he has the game of his life this week.

AU might hit some long balls if they're down big and the backups are in.

Indeed. He was completely competent against UGA.

No it will not. Auburn will not shy away from the run if they are down.

I'm going to say over since Auburn has to stick to running the ball to have a chance at winning this game.

I think Grant squirts away on one of those jet sweeps for a 75 yarder in the first half putting u guys half way there. Here's how it will go down. Auburn runs the same play three times in a row.

- Marshall hands to Mason up the middle, fakes jet sweep to Grant. Mason gets 4 yards.
- Marshall fakes to Mason up the middle, fakes jet sweep to Grant. Wallace gets 1 yard.
- Marshall fakes to Mason, hands to Grant on jet sweep, but carries out fake like he has it. Corner bites on inside run, Grant does his best Speedy Gonzalez impression down the sideline for 75 yards.

After that, not too much more work to get to 150.

Edited because I couldn't remember the damned QB's name.
