Malzahn's Offense in 2010, his best, with Cam Newton got 108 yards rushing vs Bama. I'd put it at 108, even though this Bama Defense is better.

AU averaged 40 yards per game fewer rushing in 2010.

I would bet $100 that Auburn clears 225 yards rushing.

Cam Newton could pass, very well. Ran 22 times for 39 yards in 2010.

Stop comparing this team to the 2010 team. It has ZERO bearing on this game. This bama D is not that bama D. This Auburn O is not that Auburn O. Auburn's running game is much much better this year. If you think Nick can't throw the deep ball well enough to keep bama honest, then you haven't seen Auburn play. Nick is quicker and faster than Cam. He runs the read option better than Cam did.

Under.

Best group of MLB's in the country. Stalwart defensive line that fits run gaps with discipline. Big athletic edge defenders that are tough to get outside of. 2 physical safeties that can run and thump in run support. You couldn't design a better defense to stop Auburn's attack.

I agree, somewhat. That said, we do have one of the better offensive lines in the country, and Prosch is ridiculous when he's on his game. If they play completely to their potential and without mistakes, our running game should be semi-successful.

Auburn will rush for more than 150 because they're going to run it 80% of the time, at least. I'm don't think their efficiency and yards per attempt will be very impressive though.

Agree - but I do believe NM's mid-range accuracy will be the deciding factor. He has been so sporadic. Missed Uzomah in the front corner of the end zone last week and missed Coates on a crossing route. Those are the rule rather the exception for us in that range. Most AU fans don't like to admit that - and you won't hear the coaches admit it either (except for the first time Sunday I heard Malzahn admit they have been working on Nick's accuracy all year). He can hit the long ball - and he can miss the long ball as well. So it is kind of a hope and pray scenario in my opinion....and since I am an atheist, I'm going to be hoping my arse off.

If their passing game works at all I'd say around 200. If not, 150.

If there was a God, he wouldn't have let Bama have the success they have had the past few years!

I don't think Bama running game is as good as years past. But I don't see them going for more than 150. Probably 130ish. Auburn needs to be 2-deminsional to win.

We are averaging more yards per game this season than 2010.

I'm just saying that this year's offense might be as good as 2010's even though it is slightly different.

Well if you prove to be correct and Jesus has the hot hand, I hope he isn't surfing channels.

The teams AU puts up big numbers rushing against are teams that have LOUSY Pass Defenses. That's what Gus does, faking on the pass and then running it on ya. Georgia 323 yards rushing, TAMU 379 yards rushing, UT 444 yards rushing. They aren't going to be able to do that vs Bama. Won't fake them out, much. Just stop the run.

That's the key. I don't care if Auburn runs for 150+ as long as they aren't having a lot of "successful" runs (i.e., low ypg, not converting third downs, not scoring TDs).
