IN his defense thought, that personal foul penalty where our player hit ya'lls receiver right after the ball passed over his head was bullshite, it was not a late hit. And that was a crucial call because it gave LSU a first down when we needed that stop, so he had a right to complain on that call.
They threw that flag because the ball was 5 yards behind him and he didn't even try to make a play on it.

It was hard to tell from the angle I was at, it looked to be over the head. I didn't see it on tv though I was at the game.

furthermore there is precedent as chad jones was flagged against arkansas for essentially the exact same thing.

Why do some of you have to be dicks?

Some people just can't help it, they were born that way.

I am very happy to get out of Starkville with a W. You guys have a good team... get back up, dust off, and beat some other SECW teams!

ETA before anyone says it, I'm saying the ones being dicks can eat a dick. Not saying I eat dicks

Honestly I was very impressed with State but,at the same time you can't discredit LSU's players performance by saying MSU's coaches lost the game.

I think the MSU player leaving the ground after the tackle probably brought the flag. It made it look much worse IMO

I never discredited LSU's performance. In fact I gave them credit in the OP if you read the whole thing.

I was just saying our coaches did not try to win as hard as they should have. They made no extra effort, they called our base plays and basically said frick it when they didn't work. We got down ten points and they didn't manage the game, they ran the clock with 4 minutes left. No trick plays, nothing.

It sets a bad example to our players IMO.

No doubt LSU was/is the better football team.

It seemed like LSU was running the Tennessee 5-5-3 defense the whole game.

The reason Mullen gave up in the 4th was because he realized he was coaching at Mississippi State and that he would never win there. He has packed it up.

It was a brawl,no doubt.I really didn't think State would be able to fight that hard after the AU game, those kids wanted to beat LSU bad.

don't post much, mostly just read opinions but I will agree that states players left it all on the field and the coaches flat out quit. That doesn't take away from the fact that we owned ya'll the 2nd half. That was the one of the best defensive performances by an LSU team ever, and I've been watching for 50+ yrs. I love this team and I love the fact that Les has them ready to play. FWIW the late hit was a no brainer. Receiver took at least 3 steps after the ball was gone before defender hit him. Easy and correct call. Good luck the rest of the way.
