LSU's D has too much horizontal speed to run that style option against this year. Oregon tried it a couple times and it didn't work. If MSU would have run it a couple more times last night, their option outlet would have been lit up (along with Relf).

Maybe so, but my overall point is that we ran the same shite over and over, and it never worked.

We did not expand the playbook, or try anything that LSU hasn't seen. You have to spread the field to allow yourself the space to be able to run your normal plays against a defense like that, we did not try to do that. It was terrible effort on our coaches part.

I didn't see any coaches playing in that game.

State is a good football team this tear. You lost to a better team. Move on and enjoy the rest of your season.

I said in the OP ya'll were a much more talented team, I know that. But our players fought hard and gave enough effort to win the game… had our coaches tried some different things offensively then it could of been a different game.

You act like ya'll blew us out, you forget the game was tied through the 3rd quarter.

Oh and I'm eating corn dogs for dinner to make myself feel better

Your a dumbass if you think coaching strategy and playcalling has nothing to do with the difference in winning or losing a close game.

You're making excuses for State getting beat by a better team.I could just as easily bitch about Les being too conservative and letting State hang around.

In Dan Merlin defense, lots of great coaches throw tantrum like that.

Top of the List?

Saban

I never seen Meyers get too crazy but he had his moments.

I'm not making any excuses, that wasn't even the point of this thread. If I wanted to make excuses i would point to things like our O line being hurt.

My point was that it looked like our coaches weren't trying as hard to win the game as our players were. The playcalling was terrible, and they gave up at the end with plenty of time left to attempt a comeback.

Point is I wasn't impressed with our coaches, not saying we would of won had they coached different, but it pisses me the frick off when they give a poor effort.

Your too dumb to realize the point of this thread and need to take your retarded frickin arse back to the Tiger Rant you goddamn piece of shite.

Mullen does whine to the officials a lot, which does us no good.

IN his defense thought, that personal foul penalty where our player hit ya'lls receiver right after the ball passed over his head was bullshite, it was not a late hit. And that was a crucial call because it gave LSU a first down when we needed that stop, so he had a right to complain on that call.

ETA: back to the subject though, MSU just didn't have the offensive talent to keep up last night, regardless of the playcall.

Lack of speed&talent>playcalling IMO

I was pleased with our players, and honestly the game was closer than I expected. Which is why I'm so mad about our coaches, they didn't seem to try as hard to win. When something isn't working, you don't run it over and over, you try something new to see if it works.
