They caught lightning in a bottle with Coach Donovan and those Noah/Brewer teams.

We've been to the Final Four 5 times since Arkansas' last trip

They had one of the best decade runs no doubt. I wouldn't say based on the entirety of basketball that they are better. Are they still trending better as well? Yeah, I'd say so. Its a pretty close race but there's clearly a top 3.

There is only 1 basketball school considered when the SEC is mentioned, Kentucky. All the other schools just participate in basketball. FYI, not sure what MIZZOU is known for, maybe SJW Champions?

No doubt Florida has a great argument for #2 because of that second title. Our argument is we've had success across multiple decades and multiple coaches. If you go by 1 coach and the last 15 years, no doubt, they would be #2.

Exactly. People have such short memories. Might as well say Clemson is the best football program bc they have the most recent title.

You may well be the best team in the SEC West. I have no problem saying that.
But beating Ole Miss and Vanderbilt hardly proves that.

I'd go with most NCAA appearances, most NCAAB 2nd Rd, most NCAA sweet 16, most NCAA elite 8, Most NCAA final 4, most NCAA runner up and the title is enough.

Sorry to say, but the SEC has only 1 top basketball program and they call Kentucky home.

Florida basketball has been a Top 10 program based off results this millenium. It's not just the two titles -- it's the other two Final Four appearances, the other three Elite Eights, etc.
Arkansas has only one more FF appearance in its history than UF, two more Elite Eights, two more Sweet Sixteens, etc. And that's with Florida basketball never appearing in the NCAA tourney before 1987 (or '89, officially).
Florida has caught up to Arkansas in terms of postseason success. In two decades. I can only imagine how far ahead we'll be in two more decades.

Trust me as an Arkansas basketball fan, its reeeeally hard to predict success or where you think your program will be 20 years in advance lol.

Out of curiosity does Arkansas have anywhere near Florida's overall tourney history? Or is it basically Nolan Richardson for a decade and then nothing else ever.

Lol you serious?
Edit: just wanna point out we've been to the tourney 30 times. Florida 17. Not counting the two you had to vacate in the 80s.

Give it up man. Arkansas is not a basketball power. Arkansas doesn't strike fear into anyone. Yall won a natty, great. So have alot of other schools. The only problem is you haven't progressed and upheld that standard. Kentucky along the true elite programs could lose for 10 frickin years and their name would still make them a power. That's the difference.

So what we've learned is that Florida doesn't have the same tournament history as Arkansas. It looks like they're basically Billy Donovan and nothing else.
