I think they have the infrastructure to have great athletic programs but for some reason they seem to be void of leadership right now. I am blaming it on the bow tie fricker Loftin. He is the common denominator and just looks like a milquetoast pansy to me.

Loftin is a PhD physicist and former Rice professor and proud Texas Aggie. He's a badass.

I think you Aggies are missing my point here...
Perception....with both teams coming to the league...Missouri was supposed to add something to basketball...aTm was supposed to add something to football...
Its been the opposite.

Why did he leave and go to Mizzou then?

Was forced out by a fellow Tex Ag Governor who needed to make room for one of his cronies.

Well that shoots the shite out of my theory then. Pun intended.

Loftin was screwed at A&M and screwed at Mizzou.

But I'm fine with it. Let's just be consistent.
So because the OP, who is an LSU fan, mentions a split basketball title I am being inconsistent? How does that work? One LSU fan gives an opinion and that then becomes a generalized blanket statement believed by all LSU fans? I am also a supporter of consistency. It's not just inclusive to A&M fans who couldn't remember Missouri finished in the top 5 nationally a few years ago after making it to Atlanta

I don't get why this thread is getting people all worked up. The year before they joined the SEC Missouri ended the basketball season ranked AP #3. A&M was top 10 in football. I think both had solid programs in the other sports but Mizzou was a football North contender and a basketball top 10 team, A&M was the reverse. I think that's all he said was the SEC has become the opposite.

You get in the top 10 for going 7-6 and winning the Texas Bowl?

You know what I did I looked up 2012 football instead of 2011 football! You are right A&M brought nothing in either sport.

It was actually thought that while A&M would be better in the long run at fooseball, Mizzou would have more success initially. Basketball, well that is just as you advertise and it's been arse backwards.
