How could you look at the stop action and say the A&M receiver was in bounds. His foot was clearly out of bounds. That play would have stopped A&Ms TD drive.

The replay was inconclusive so it would have stood no matter what. It was all about the call on the field for that one.

I thought he was out too. I'll take the gifts when I can get them.

Ray Charles could see his toe was on the line.

Bama had to beat A&M and the refs as usual

He was out, but the video evidence was not indisputably conclusive, so the call stood. Simple.

Meh, we got some calls and no calls our way

I was surrounded by Aggies last night in a San Antonio bar... they all agreed he was out after watching the replay and video still. If all us drunken average Joe's can see it why can't the refs??

Looked like the toe was out but unless they have cameras pointed directly down the sidelines you can't say for sure.

The refs missed the call in real time, an easy mistake to make when it's that close. See my previous post for why it was not overturned.

He was out, but I'm ok with the call because it was close.

I thought it was so extremely close even with zoom in replay that I would rather the player get the play then to look for a couple of white blades touching the edge of his cleat.

Anyone have a screen cap of it?
It certainly looked like half his toe was just across the line...but since his shoes were white, and he was also right on top of a white stripe it was just too tough to say.
Either way I was fine with the call. The video footage wasn't solid enough to say 100%.

I would not have overturned that call if I was in the booth. If he had been wearing black shoes then maybe you would have been able to tell but in my opinion you couldn't tell for sure. Too close to overturn the call made on the field.

There was no way they change that call. It was about as close as you could call it. If they ruled him out originally, the play would've held up. I couldn't see any white grass come up after his foot hit so if he was in, it was by a toenail. Replay was correct in letting the call stand.
