Your right. Where I live it's been happening since God knows. Three decent school that have plenty of kids that have notable college players or have went to the mlb. They just use a family members address to the school they want to be recognized at what sport. All florida is doing is giving these people who already do it anyways a mean not to get in trouble for it.

The Tebows rented an apartment in St. John's county to be compliant with the rules.

I know folks that do the same as it's cheaper than private schools. It is what it is.

You know this is allowed, right? Do you know that Duval is not a couple of counties away from St Johns?

Yes, and yes... coming that deep westside I'm going over the buckman thus buzzing the border with Clay.

This has been happening for a while. My local Catholic High School would recruit players and players would transfer to and from my high school and that high school

Well, if you get caught there are penalties. My son's private school got caught doing this and got in big trouble. It is against the rules.

A lot of bitching about this subject has been taking place in Pensacola, Niceville, FWB and Crestview over the past couple of years. I am very surprised to see this happen because all of the bitching was from coaches at schools where really good players were moving to other schools. Kind of creates a monopoly on talent for teams like Crestview. Wrong decision IMO.

I can see a coach telling a science fair winner he needs to transfer to make room for a quarterback, telling a tuba player and the drum major to hit the road

If they live in the zoning area they can't be forced or pushed out; students in the zoning area have priority. Bribed may be another story.

Grew up in OP, but now I'm down in the sticks. The burg is a booming metropolis compared to my unincorporated area lol.
