They couldn't even do that to that shitty arse Florida team that 2020 LSU beat.

2020 Texas A&M team goes 8-4 in a non-covid year.

Louisiana math is rated at the bottom for a reason.

Didn't know how to handle any success and it showed from Administration, Coach, and players.

Lol...
Trask not having THE best receiving threat of the the 2021 draft class available changed the entire dynamic.
Fog that limited visibility beyond 10 yds in a pure passing offense without an inkling of a run game, also limited UFs chances.
Dan thought he'd walk away with a W and mailed it in for game prep. So, glad LSU put it to that arrogant prick. The way it unfolded was a thing of beauty.
Mullen was ALL in on Bama game prep and it showed. Still, it wasn't good enough.
Utx was garbage. End of season 2019 LSU beats their arse by 28+, as does first of year 2019 Bama with a healthy Tua.
ETA: Glorious. I appreciate seeing genuine research and discussion beyond trolling threads and baseless, purely fan biased talking points. Even if it opens the door for more debate, at least you are forcing the other side of the GOAT argument to gather their own facts and provide a more concrete debate of their side.

Don’t you know everybody is scared to play Bama? You do realize most of the same players didn’t play against other teams either! Duh!

Three of the four LSU players didn’t play against Vandy either. Guess we fear everybody.

Another day, another thread by Bama posters about LSU. Wow.

Candyass LSU opt outs made up 4 of the 6 Draft Picks (67%) that Alabama did not play because of Covid
They just didn’t feel the need to go in that Bama pussy again. I heard it really was not that good the first time around...

So if you don’t include LSU, ZERO draftees opted out of Bama’s schedule.

Literally what I’ve been waiting for since this thread was posted. But all I’ve gotten was lazy canned responses. Kinda discouraging

Not going to spend all day dispelling the misguided basis of this thread, but don't take the OP's original post as fact. To claim that Covid did not substantially alter the playing field in Alabama's favor is ludicrous.
First, there is no debate Alabama was the best team in the pandemic "season".
However, the whole premise of the post is off base. It ignores how many opt outs and players out with Covid substantially diluted all of college football, including the opponents Alabama faced. The fact that a player wasn't drafted doesn't mean that player's absence wasn't felt by his team. A perfect example is Jhamon Ausbon at Texas A&M. He wasn't drafted, but he would have been the Aggies' top receiver had he not opted out of the Covid season.
The OP demonstrates how the majority of Alabama's opponents were missing at least one of their top players solely due to the global pandemic. To pretend that Alabama faced a normal schedule or the best that other programs could offer is ignorant.
For example: LINK
Not to mention that Alabama did not have to play a true road game as crowds were not close to full capacity.
Alabama will be remembered as the best team in the Covid era, but comparing its season to the best teams in college football history is speculative at best. It's not the Tide's fault, but it did not get the chance to prove whether it belonged in that discussion. To be considered the best ever, a team has to win tough road games, and it has to face the best programs in the country at their best. Alabama simply did not get a chance to do so.
