If they changed it to for three games Cardale deserves to be in the conversation. For one year? No.

Should’ve replaced Cardale with Jameis Winston

None of the other 3 faced a strong Alabama team so I think what Cardale was able to do under the circumstances he faced made him the more impressive feat.

I'd be curious to see how Bama fans would rank their 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2019 (before Tua's season ending injury) teams. 2010 was very talented but they underachieved. Guess it was a championship hangover but no way they should have lost 3 games, particularly that SCar game. Ingram's fumble in the Iron Bowl that swung the momentum I'm sure still haunts them.

Burrow was great. Don’t get me wrong. But he had WAY more talent around him than Cam Newton did. Cam took a team with above average talent to a national title.

All I see is a Top 3 NFL QB and 3 absolute busts.

Remember when Burrow put up 40+ points at Brian Denny to ruin Alabama’s self-proclaimed “revenge year”…?

Yeahhh you do.

He played exceptionally well given it was his 2nd start. Not like he carried the team to victory. Ekeziel Elliot is arguably the greatest tailback to play the last decade and he ran for 200+ on Bama. He won the game for Ohio State, not Cardale. Not to mention the o line played great. You can name the players on one hand who have done that to Bama under Saban.

You should take off your Buckeye tinted glasses sometimes, being objective will get you ahead in life.

That's where the argument between the two is. Would Cam have been able to do more with better receivers? Or were his legs the thing that would have won the games regardless? It's a pretty fascinating topic IMO.

Then, Vince Young was just on another planet during the national championship game. All 3 were incredible college QBs.

Mac would've been the better Jones choice for this graphic.

Absolutely. He and Burrow had complete command/knowledge of their offenses and their accuracy was insane.

He wouldn’t have been forced to run as much as he did at Auburn. He would have had 4000 passing yards and still over 1000 yards rushing too.

I thank God he didn’t go to State in 2010 because they were comparable in talent to that Auburn team he was on with a better head coach

I think a one-hit wonder QB thread would be an excellent idea. Has to have only started/played on their team for 1 year.

This. It is much more likely Mac Jones wins a title with 2019 lsu vs 2009 auburn. Just the truth. Not a knock against burrow but that team was ken Dorsey loaded.

I think what Burrow has done at Cincinnati has proven without a shadow of a doubt his leadership greatness.

Taking a horrifically poorly run, inept, and cheapest franchise to a Super Bowl in year 2 demonstrates how great his talent and leadership have always been.

And…. It clearly answers who was most responsible for the 2019 National Championship as Ed O, became Ole Miss Ed O the day Burrow got drafted.
