The term "prolific" could be used to describe either a season or a career. Not sure what the issue is here if indeed that is being applied as a season descriptive.
You seem to imply the term can only be applied to a career. Just curious, do you view Derrick Henry's career as "prolific"?

Don't you think more should be required of a guy than one season? I mean, look at the list:

What were his stats in SEC only? I remember Ole Miss scored like 60+ in their first two scrub games I think
Dak was slightly better in conference play only.

Was hoping that this was another Brandon Harris thread.

So the main question should "Whose alter are you?"

So it's okay to say "Chad Kelly has one of the most prolific passing seasons in SEC history" but it's not okay to say "Chad Kelly is one of the SECs most prolific passers"...?

If you go back in time...Steve Spurrier was considered a prolific passer by that era's standards....if a QB in the mid 1960s threw 15-18 times in a game that was considered a fairly wide open offense. Of course in some games he threw more and hit 300 yds a few times. In those days that was high octane.
His arm was rather ordinary in strength but his will to win was great...and he was usually accurate. He also punted and kicked FG in pressure situation to avoid a tie...in those days no overtime.
I think we have 2 QBs from the 1980s on that list. Passing became somewhat passe with the popularity of the wishbone...where QBs were sometimes nothing more than WRs or RBs...some were 5'9"...but able to pitchout and run. Its the reason you dont see much from 1970s on the list.
Oh...just looked at list and only 2 QBs from the 1970s and both had careers from 1969-1971 (frosh didnt play back then) John Reaves of UF who btw is Layla Kiffins daddy and Pat Sullivan, Heisman winner at AU. 1971 was just before the wishbone become almost everyone's offense and 3 to 8 passes became normal in games.

I was only saying - to say he is one of the most prolific in sec HISTORY is a stretch. But hey, to each his own

All I posted was that the crazy-goodest QB had surgery and I mocked the author of the article. Big deal moron
Then you got all arse hurt when other posters didn't toe the line with your thinking on what's "prolific" .
Even more, you went with personal attacks on a reasonable counter to your argument.
Chad Kelley, is the best returning QB in the SEC. He had an awesome first season, one that surpasses even the sheepest homers in the OM fanbases predictions.
It was a prolific season, he was prolific passing, prolific scoring TDs and led OM to one of their best seasons in the past 40 years. First time they've beaten Bama, Au and L5u same season in multitude of years.
He is a prolific passer based on the past season, had one of the most prolific passing seasons in SEC history.
How can you be so adamant he's not worthy of the label of one of the SEC's most prolific passers.
Mad he beat Bama? Can't give him credit due to being upset at the loss he handed Bama?

vs 4 ranked teams
60% 1182 yards (8.4 ypa) 10 TDs 2 ints
215 yards (4.78 ypc) 3 TDs
So vs 4 ranked teams he averaged 349 total yards and 3.25 TDs.
Vs 6 SEC West
Pass - 63.2% 1847 yards (8.28 ypa) 14 TDs 5 ints
Rush - 330 yards (5.6 ypc) 7 TDs
So vs 6 SEC West teams he averaged 362.8 total yards and 3.5 TDs per game. Those are heisman numbers and he did heisman numbers all year. He really only had one bad game from a statistical standpoint, and even it's debatable.
Chad Kelly was a monster in that offense.

eh, 300 total yards and a TD. Y'all limited him, but that was about it.

I just want to know how Ole Miss beats national champion Bama in their own house and then gets the shite beat out of them by Memphis like....2 weeks later

Someone who cannot admit when they are wrong (even when it is made painfully clear), has zero credibility.

Obviously, Memphis 2015 >>>>> Bama 2015.
Please send them that undeserved trophy.
