As an Alabama fan, I couldn't care less about this dude losing his job.
But, I applaud the solid troll job he did.
Nothing like the smell of rustled jimmies.

Pretty obvious that the operator didn't give 2 shits about the company he was working for.
What if the GC came out and said get your equipment off my job site.
We don't wear AU gear to Tuscaloosa or UA gear to Auburn. Don't piss on the person paying your bills.

I'm waiting for you to finish what you started tap dancing around.
I wish you would

And my Saints wouldn't have a Super Bowl trophy and my Ags wouldn't be in the SEC.
That world would suck.

Totally understand why they fired him, but if Bama had done this, we would never hear the end of it and how callous we are to take a man's job because of a silly prank. The Bama fan was trying to be cute and it just backfired. He knew what he was doing, and he took a chance but it did not end well. Don't think that Bama fans are the only ones that are this stupid though.
Mrs. Saban asked a worker that was doing work at their home to go outside and change his Auburn cap, or leave it in the truck, or to leave the property. When This got out, people went crazy about how silly she was to do this. I totally understand what she did. She gave the man a chance, which is more than I would have done, but he was stubborn, and of all things thought she didn't have the authority to fire or have him fired. He found out the hard way.
To me what he did was showing a lack of respect, because he knew that was the Saban home, and he just wanted to test them, and then to act like she couldn't have him removed was even worse. Coach Saban would have probably just laughed, but Miss Terry takes things like that quite seriously.
She didn't want the Auburn hat in her house, and then when he disrespected her, well let's just say it was all over quickly.

You do understand that A&M did not fire this guy, the contractor that he worked for fired him. There's kind of a big difference there.

For all we know, A&M did tell them to fire the guy. Or maybe an OSHA worker saw a suspended load hanging by a zip tie tied to a light plant, and thought, maybe the dumbass that did that needs to be fired, or we are citing you.
We don't know the whole story, nor do we need to.

The story here isn't the firing. The story is that Alabama breeds fans who place showing their Tide affiliation above livelihood. It's the same reason you hear stories about people being hassled by HS drop-out Alabama fans at a convenience store leaving their shite on the counter and walking out when the Bama fan won't shut up.
They just don't get the concept of not putting the Tide #1 in their life.

He got fired for that? This would have to have been a second or third warning for behavior because a prank like that seems like a really trivial reason to fire someone without any other problems.

Coach would have been right, so she demanded this guy get fired? Sad story if true to take a mans job over this.
As for the TAMU incident, I assume he broke company policy and probable safety rules. Still would not have fired him if he otherwise had a clean record.

I'm guessing his boss didn't want to upset the people paying them $500 million.
