We need to rename the welfare state "The Crimson Tide Foundation".

Just such a brainless way to support your team.

The first rule of REC is you don't talk about REC.

Is there any other way to support Alabama?

Ags are such drama queens.....every construction job of this magnitude would have a bevy of inspectors, every weld would be carefully inspected visually. Critical welds are examined by x ray. If the ags are dumb enough to let someone with the IQ of a peanut perform critical tasks without proper supervision or inspection....they deserve a shitty built stadium

At some point I would hope the normal bama fan would stand up to the wackjobs and just say no. That's too far and an embarrassment to the team you support.
It's like some of these idiots are proud of how moronic they can be.

Raba Kistner Engineering, the inspector for the Kyle Field renovation, has issued a statement saying:
"All steel fabrication has been observed and critical welds tested/verified at the plants by the third party firm, Raba Kistner Engineering. Once delivered to the site, field welds, moment connections, and bolt torquing are tested/verified in accordance to building code and engineering specification by the third party inspectors. Structural engineers of record review the inspection reports as well as conduct site observation/review of the in place steel."
Nothing you said in your post allows for the reality that any worker on a construction site would've been fired for far less egregious actions.
I don't know why you're willing to die in a ditch over your stance on this--unless you're simply one of those people who digs in his heels and refuses to change his mind, even when presented with new/differing facts.

One would think Bama fans would be a little more humble after getting humiliated by OU in the Sugar Bowl.
I mean, they got hammered by a freshman QB and an offense without its all-American RB in the game. Enjoy the downfall, Tide fans.

Yet still had no problem dismantling LSU. Your team will be even worse this year. Enjoy the decline.

I think it's safe to say everyone agrees that Bobby Livingston went full retard.

And what would you have us do, vote in our fans? Make the fan base an Alumni-exclusive group? Look, none of us give a frick about our crazy fans. We can't do anything to stop it. I bet he has never even set foot on this campus. I don't feel embarrassed, why should I? I have no relationship with this man in anyway whatsoever, so I'm not responsible for his actions. I can't spend the rest of my life being ashamed of Billy-Bob Redneck from buttfrick nowhere Alabama just because we root for the same team.

There needs to be leadership on this, from the school, the coaches, the state government. Alabama fans need to stop excusing these as isolated incidents...they're not.
There's a clear trend, and a significant portion of the fan base actually cheering these types of actions as they occur. Which means that they will not only continue to occur, but escalate.
It would be better if the school and the state did something now, rather than after some tragedy caused by a crazed Alabama fan...and it seems you can't separate "crazed" and "Alabama fan" these days.

I've always wondered why Saban hasn't come out and commanded the gumps to be on their best behavior. Go on Finebaum. Condemn Harvey. Condemn the teabagger. Condemn whoever. It would take 5 minutes of his time, and it could do things like... you know... prevent one Alabama fan from KILLING another. Yet, I think secretly all these Alabama grads that claim to be above the fray, secretly want it. They view it as a necessary extension of their success. They secretly fear if the passion dies, so does their program. So Saban stays quiet, and the chaos continues.

Saban did condemn Updyke, and this shite is still going on. Saban, Battle, and Dr.Bonner could all talk to the fan base as as a whole, (as if that would ever happen) and people will still act stupid. Most of these people already had prior issues, whether it's an unhealthy obsessions, or past crime. Their family and friends probably tried to talk to them, asking them to get help. MAYBE Saban could say something to change their mind, but it's doubtful. That's not his job anyway. Stupid people will do stupid shite, that's life. And no one is going to stop them.
