No it isn't.
Explain how.

How is the "one and done" hurting Kentucky? 4 Final 4's in 5 years. Yep, it is killing UK

Imagine if players had to stay two years. UK would still get at least half as many of those "one and done" type players, but they were there two years. You still have the same number of great players, but they're more experienced.

here's my proposal - let them either go directly to the pros out of high school, and if they elect to go to college make them stay 3-4 years.

what would make more sense it to allow players to make money, with adequate protections from boosters, and/or give them a stipend. if they make over X amount put it in an escrow account they can have after they finish their 3/4 years. This would save some kids.

of course nothing is going to happen.

you wanna help college basketball - IMHO do one of the above and get rid of the 3 point shot.

Implement a defensive 3-seconds call. 7 footers shouldn't be allowed to camp in front of the rim.

The answer to the problem (same with football), is have a player declare what his minimum position in the draft would be. After that pick, he would not be eligable to be drafted. It would prevent players going into the draft too early. It would make the Pro GMs do more work, which would be the problem.
