Texas requested and had the students to take off their shirts.

The BYU admin asked them to remove it… the game was in Utah idiot.

Texas had nothing to do with it. It’s at BYU. But don’t let that get in the way of the narrative

Isn’t BYU in your conference now? Texas absolutely could have sent in a complaint.

Every SEC school should have " HORNS DOWN" their score boards before every game against Texas.

They were asked by staff to change or cover it up because it was the Student section and School staff said it wasn’t a good look for the University you folks love to hate Texas and blame them for stuff they had no control over. It is unclear who asked the fans to remove the shirts. BYU did not immediately answer an email, while Texas did not respond to a phone call.

All that before the first media timeout? Makes sense.

And you know damn well that would have never happened had Texas not cried about it in the past.

What wasn’t clear in the immediate aftermath was who asked the students to remove their shirts. Was it someone from Texas or BYU? Did game officials make the request?

Apparently it actually was BYU and that asked the students to cover up. Either it’s a weak move or a genius 5D chess move to make Texas look bad

Is this not just fan fun? I mean why do they get so pissed about it?
I don't think they were?

How would Texas possibly "make" an opposing fanbase change their apparel in an arena that isn't even their own?

Some of y'all are so gullible

Only, according to BYU insider for KSL Sports Mitch Harper, the students were asked to remove the shirts following the first media timeout of the game. It’s unclear who — whether it was game officials, BYU officials, Texas officials or some other entity — made the request to remove the shirts.

I mean... Texas was undisputed 2023 SEC champs in football. I honestly think Texas can't wait until they get in the SEC.

Empirically, it's been much easier competition for Texas...

So... there's literally zero proof Texas was behind this.

Man, if being in the SEC has everybody this terrified of Texas' supposed gravitational pull, count me in!

Man! These Texas jerks are in for a rude awakening when they come into the SEC. Can you imagine coming into SEC stadiums and thinking that 80-100,000 fans are gonna stop giving this sign just because it hurts Texas’s delicate little feelings?
They are going to see it at every SEC stadium they visit and in the visitors section of their stadium.
They have asked for this and we are gonna give it to them.
Can’t wait until they visit Athens. If they think 93,000 fans are gonna bend to their demands they are going to be very disappointed.
The SEC really can’t do anything about it even if they choose to get involved. And outside of huge bribe money I don’t see that happening. Can’t arrest 93,000 people

On what grounds could Texas have those shirts removed? They’re not against the rules or obscene in any way that would have the Big 12, a league we’re about to leave btw, to force college students to change.
