We pay him millions to win football games. I really don't give a shite what he says on Twitter so long as he keeps winning.

If we got a compilation of ole miss posters bragging about how nothing would ever happen, I think they would understand why everyone is getting a good laugh out of how quickly they're backpedaling and making ridiculous excuses for freeze.

So, the ACT test. Is that from Poe or was that after his time?

After. But his high school. Connection was made with Powe.

The worst part about this for Ole Miss is that another round is GUARANTEED to be coming after the draft day stuff came out. The NCAA is impotent in a lot of ways now, but when they perceive a slight, they will dig until the find something just to make an example of you.

The way this sets up, the talking heads of the college football world will be feasting on this story at a time when there isn't much else to talk about. The more they talk, the more incentive the NCAA has to look tough in the end. The longer it drags out, especially for the newer allegations to be processed, the more chance that the NCAA takes a hard line for image purposes. Remember Penn State and Bruce Pearl? If they perceive a slight or that they were lied to, watch out.

From what I read The Draft Day Tunsil scandal is still being looked into. The NCAA is not done yet.

You do understand those are the proposed sanctions from Ole Miss, and that the NCAA can reject them and make them more severe, right? This thing is far from over.

Ducking comical that they tried to spin it as all pre Freeze, 11 of the first 13 violations are under him.

I know what you mean...but technically, the NCAA hasn't even started yet. These penalties released to day were self imposed.

You do understand that we have been working directly with the ncaa and the most basic level of common sense should tell you that we've likely been working with them regarding our self imposed sanctions, right?

Those are pretty tough self imposed sanctions, i.e., double digit scholarship loses in football, etc. It remains to be seen is the Tunsil fallout from a couple months ago will make things worse.

If you don't think its going to be that big of a deal then why are you trying so hard to convince everyone. Why even care what they are saying?

So these self-imposed penalties have absolutely nothing to do with the Tunsil fiasco on draft day!?

So there's more coming!?

What jumps out at me is that most of the football infractions are Level I--the most severe of the four-tiered NCAA Violation Structure.

From the NCAA Website:
quote:

Level I: Severe breach of conduct

Violations that seriously undermine or threaten the integrity of the NCAA collegiate model as set forth in the Constitution and bylaws, including any violation that provides or is intended to provide a substantial or extensive recruiting, competitive or other advantage, or a substantial or extensive impermissible benefit.
