How soon do the transfers start?

Anyone who thinks this is over or good for Ole Miss ignores a glaring fact: Houston Nutt KNEW these phone calls were made and what they were about. HDN and his lawyer asked for phone records from a 6 day window.
How would they know such specifics about a one-time, personal peccadillo by CHF?
They knew of a conspired effort to provide recruits with hookers. The same way every SEC board has known . Recruits talk. Word gets around.
This ain't over by a long shot

I'm telling you, and Oscar is beating around the bush on this. There is another rumor floating around. Remember "Incarcerated Bob?"
This has nothing to do with hookers, affairs or any of that. Some of Freeze's well known acquaintances are tied up in something that this board regularly talks about, but is a cardinal sin if working in college athletics.
No way they fired him for calling hookers. I'd be very surprised. But I've been surprised before.

Once the bowl ban window expands past this season, the floodgates open.
Any player whose eligibility would be up before the bowl ban ends is allowed an immediate transfer to another program.

If the 15 scholly loss in two years occurs, it will take at least a decade to overcome.

Oh shite, was he point shaving?

Everything you just said, every point, is bullshite. How are some of you still so deep in denial? You publicly backed Freeze for a year and it just blew up in your face, confirming all the violations you were prepared to appeal. The NCAA will have everything Nutt's lawyers have, which was the one thing saving you, that the NCAA has no subpoena power. In summation, the self imposed sanctions are just the tip, you are about to get fricked.
The subpoena power plus a lawyer dedicated to digging everything up for his client is far more dangerous than an NCAA bureaucrat who likely only gives a shite about addressing things that are handed to him because he doesn't have the time or resources to do otherwise.

They asked for that 6 day window because that's when the news of the first NOA broke and when Freeze would've been calling the journalists trying to blame Nutt for the allegations. Then they struck gold.
I'm not saying more won't come from this I'm just disagreeing that Nutt and his attorneys knew about the hookers before requesting the phone records.

quote:Yep - Houston Nutt had the smoking gun and had the nuts to fire at will on Freeze/OM. Now that HDN's lawyer has requested phone records for as far back as 2012...there's definitely more in his arsenal.

You are typing this as if you think typing it will make it true. The truth is, nobody knows shite about what the NCAA is going to do between now and November. I've already posted I'm happy about Freeze being fired btw. He needed to go.
Ole Miss backed Freeze because:
1. He won a lot of games
2. They think the Leo Lewis "case" is bullshite
3. There was no evidence of him breaking the morality clause (until last week)
They heard the philander rumors for years and probably should've investigated more. But at that time, they trusted he was telling the truth bc he denied the claims when confront about the issue.
Do I think the AD assumed Freeze was "probably" cheating? Yes. But you can't fire someone for assumptions (for free). They needed evidence, and when Freeze admitted it, they got it. For free.

Is this really the inside thought process of an OM fan

Jesus after all the stuff that's come out what's still out there? I'd heard vague rumors about point shaving in the 2014 season..that's the only thing I can think of that's left.

My God....
This is the perfect case study on how NOT to handle an ongoing NCAA investigation. OM has made it substantially worse for themselves at every turn.

Yup.
Hookers led them to the other findings. That's the million dollar question.. what did they find in the other 39k of contacts Freeze made?
My guess is dialogue with boosters network and pay off scandal evidence

Not necessarily point shaving (even though those rumors are out there - Incarcerated Bob) but as Pete Rose learned - "You don't gamble on baseball."

So, you're saying the State of Mississippi is going to reclaim the "Most Corrupt State" title back from Louisiana this year.
