If that is true then 2015 Alabama is the first 15-0 team in FBS history!

I love how they put everything on Nutt and defended Freeze.

Now its somehow Freezes fault since he got hookers for himself, according to OM. Even though its still plausible he got them for recruits.

And they act like its some major revelation they just discovered.

No- if one team forfeits they are not credited with winning a game, but the other team does not get credited with the win. I guess assumption becomes the game didn't happen.

We can only hope they shut the program down

No need for them in the SEC anyways

Forfeit - Winning team loses game, losing team gets the win.

Vacate - Winning team loses win. Losing team still keeps the loss.

They're talking about a forfeiture.

Those penalties would devastate Ole Miss. Assuming the NCAA doesn't pile more on now.

The dude sounds like a pleb.

1. Freeze's philandering was not a shock to insiders - they heard the rumors. Freeze denied them when confronted.

2. From an OM perspective, who cares about Freeze now? He gone.

3. The bowl ban claims are overblown considering Ole Miss has already self-imposed. Freeze canning should probably help OM from now until the COI rules.

If they indeed knew about this for a while as rumored, sat on it, and then just followed through on it once the Nutt trial made things public...then the NCAA ain't gonna hold back just because they got rid of Freeze. That ship probably sailed a couple years ago.

I just don't understand how Ole Miss fans aren't shitting on Ross

Isn't it asking for trouble to go out there in the midst of a scandal and broadly declare that Ole Miss did nothing wrong and Hugh managed the program in compliance with NCAA rules?

It just seems like the same brazen absurdity that got them here in the first place.

If the NCAA wants a 3 year bowl ban would be outrageous considering Penn St. got 4 years for raping young kids over a long period of time and covering it up. That would be absurd.

Ole Miss insiders have whiffed on just about everything since Feb 2016.

Ole Miss needed to get rid of Freeze in order to move on from a PR and football perspective. Whatever happens with NCAA/COI only affects the timeline of how quickly OM can recover.

Regardless, Freeze's departure was necessary for the future of Ole Miss football.

How is that not being realistic?

You not being able to see the difference is laughable. Plus, not like OM is going to a Bowl anytime soon anyway.

Dude, what.

Everything you just said, every point, is bullshite. How are some of you still so deep in denial? You publicly backed Freeze for a year and it just blew up in your face, confirming all the violations you were prepared to appeal. The NCAA will have everything Nutt's lawyers have, which was the one thing saving you, that the NCAA has no subpoena power. In summation, the self imposed sanctions are just the tip, you are about to get fricked.

According to insiders, they didn't sit on it. Ole Miss questioned Freeze for years about his personal life and he would just deny the rumors. This is dating back years.

Now is it possible there was proof given to Ole Miss RE: hookers and they just swept it under the rug? Sure. Doesn't make sense tho bc it would've been a great excuse to fire him for cause.
