Austin is a big city.
It's very possible that the guilty party has zero affiliation w UT.

ETA: wmr beat me to it.

If you know anything about that program or its fans, this shouldn't shock you.

Just said this in the other thread.

Unfortunately, it is not shocking. There is a reason many Razorback fans old enough to remember the SWC & dealings with UT (especially playing in Austin) detest them. It isn't just about football. If I never step foot there again, it will be too soon.

Hopefully, there will be enough publicity that the Texas justice system will be forced to deal with the worthless pos as harshly as they would if the situation was reversed.

Prayers sent for the victim and his family. Just horrendous.

Someone beat an Ole Miss fan to death for talking shite about UT. But yea, let's defend the tsips.

I said shite earlier in the thread, but this was chances are some unstable a-hole who beat the (literally) life out of a guy who was probably talking shite. I know that 99.999% of the Texas alumni base would do such a thing, but it's just all-in-all a tragedy.

Agree with everything you said. I've heard horror stories, and experienced a few there myself. But this probably isn't the thread for this discussion.

That's not even the point. There's not any version of this story that could be an indictment on an entire fanbase.

I go to the annual game in Austin. It's a great environment. No need to bash UT over this.

Myself, family, and friends have had a much different experience. We will definitely not return to a game at Austin.

I wouldn't really think of Texas as a place for something like this to happen.

Didn't Alabama fans stab some Auburn fans a few years ago?

You said this in the other thread

If the kid is black it would make a little more sense, though. They're pretty bad with race relations in Austin.

How about you just STFU you fricking a-hole. It's obvious you can't out your personal bias to the side long enough to make a logical response.

Seriously, go frick yourself and never post here again. A fan is very possibly dead at the moment and you make a pun out of it. I hope you sleep soundly at night.

I agree. For me, there is no discussing it.

Mainly, I hope & pray the Ole Miss fan will make a full recovery.

I didn't make a pun out of anything, friend. Calm yourself. I think if you'll read this whole thread you'll see I'm not the only one saying "frick texas".

I thought you were done in this thread. You have made a total dickhead out of yourself already. I think it's time to STFU

Shame.

Life is too fricking short to worry about the shite most of us worry about.

Good to hear that there is some recovery.
