Admittedly still very immature. Depends on how u measure a lawyers success, money or years. I went to georgetown law, u?
My username should be a dead give away for where I went to law school. Funny thing, the main guy in that novel went to Georgetown too.
I consider many things factor into success as a lawyer, and money nor years is at the top of my list.

You should open your eyes and realize that national pharma settlements, as discussed in gris' king of torts are very common in the mass tort world. 100m settlements are struck weekly. Precisely the reason such a scenario was written into his plot. Besides, I know nothing about property law. Fyi, I won't charge u for the advice on complex lit. I'm out for good boys. Happy thanksgiving to all. I see why u guys have thousands of posts, this is a kick in the arse. Ill tune in again a 5am when I get in the deer stand

Yes, national drug cases are big, but in reality they are handled by players, not immature kids fresh out of school. They also take a long time to settle, they don't happen over night. Also, had you picked something not in books/movies and commercials it might have been more believable. And it might have been more believable if you had claimed that you worked for a player and got in that way, but you didn't.

Please, first off you didn't add anything informative. Not even to the people reading this thread that don't even practice law. Second, claiming to have settle a case does not equal complex litigation. Patent cases and antitrust cases between corporate giants equals complex litigation. That's where the big boys play.

No, he is a lawyer. But that's about the only fact he's stated tonight. He doesn't realize that I've pegged him and he keeps digging his hole deeper.
Oh, and he doesn't work in NOLA.

It can't be SFP
Did a Westlaw search on him and didn't find any briefs or other cases/docs in NJ. Toyotas, drywall, pharmaceuticals, etc., the typical plaintiff's bar lineup.

GWfool, I was approached by a whistleblower with a huge pharma case. At that time, you are correct, I was very green and sought the assistance of a well-known highly respected mass tort lawyer in mississippi (remember mississippi doesnt have a class action mechanism -- its one of the only states that does not). As a result, we filed our case in New Jersey, where the pharma giant was located. We drew a favorable judge, certified the class and the rest was history. Granted our case was worth more than 100m, but we realized that pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered. And yes, i have read gris's king of torts which is nothing like reality. he speaks from a journalistic point of view.
Is the Mississippi lawyer's initials JAE?

I googled Pharm lawsuits in New Jersey, only a couple popped up and they linked payouts to many states not just Mississippi and none for 100 million.
