Fact is, they are not going to just accept a year bowl ban.

i went back and checked out other schools charged with Lack of Institutional Control see here. Seems like 2 year bowl ban, 20 scholarship reduction and 5 years probabation are the usual penalties.
i do not know if this being OM's second lack of institutional control charge will come into play.

When has the NCAA allowed the testimony of a rival school's player?
probably plenty of times. you really think this is the first time the ncaa has interviewed a recruit that was enrolled at another school? lol

Anyone remember that former or current OM player that went on a twitter rant when the allegations were first brought up last year?
Something to the tune of "We decided as a team to get better and work more, no cheating occurred". I'm trying to find his twitter account

I think at one time there was a clock on here that showed how many years, days, etc it's been since ole miss won an SEC title...has to be over 45 years

damn you stupid. You cant sue the NCAA as a member institution. And your guys are admitting most of it.

What I want to know is how much OM paid for the players that did sign with them. How much is a believable amount?
The cute thing is Rebs thinking Tunsil, Treadwell, Lodge, Little and Anderson came there for free.

How many of those had 13 level 1 violations? Look at what happened to USC with one level 1

that self-imposed ban isn't going to do shite for them.
and Freeze is going to get a show cause. Which unfortunately will be the best thing that's happened to them in years

You know, I wanted Ole Miss's shite stopped, but I didn't want them turned into a homecoming opponent for Milsaps. It hurts the whole league. Freeze gets what he has coming to him, cheating bastard. But I wanted them hurt, not destroyed. From the looks of it, this could be the roughest penalty since SMU. Ole Miss may become SMU.
Trust me, you don't want this for your worst enemy. Auburn and Bama already had a limited nuclear exchange back in the late 80's, early 90's. Both of us paid a steep price. And Fulmer tried to destroy Alabama with the Albert Means case. He almost succeeded.
As an Alabama fan, the thing about the Means case that bothers me the most to this day isn't the punishment or the fact that we got caught. That much is true. No, what bothers me the most was there were 6 other schools that were bidding and paying for Means to come to their school and only Alabama and Kentucky were punished for it.
Memphis, Ole Miss, Michigan State, Arkansas, Georgia, and Tennessee were all involved in the scandal. Make no mistake, regardless of who the NCAA is hunting, it's not good for anyone in the league when they are on the loose.

I would be worried as frick if one of my players testified to committing a major rules violation for immunity. Immune or not, now a coach knows one of his players is dirty. A man of integrity would drop his arse.
