Ole Miss finished behind Alabama and LSU in total defense, yet they're the best in the nation. Seriously? We can all agree OM D was good this year. Best it's been in awhile. But best in the nation? Not even best in the SEC. Or it's own division.

Ole Miss finished #1 in the country in scoring defense...you know, the stat that counts. Your team only scored 10 points, your team didn't win, Bo Wallace lost. Bama only scored 10 points too, and Ole Miss won.

We already had the nations best this season and only lose two all-americans.

The Rebs are good but didn't even end up the best total defense in the conference, scoring defense notwithstanding. LSU will go back to back as the best D in the SEC next year.

Nice troll. You still don't have the number one defense and after the bowl you may not have the best scoring defense. LSU will be the team going back to back with best total defense.

I guess we should just hand OM the SECCG trophy next year, no sense in any of us playing football since there's no way any of us could beat the best offense and defense in the nation.

not sure a Florida fan should have reposted this. Even though there are only about 3 teams in the conference who COULDNT get away with it, your team is definitely one. The gators cant beat Ole Miss even when they field national championship teams.

You need to understand this, with out Bo you got nothing. Your outlook is you are an Auburn-- Ta+m in waiting.
8 wins is about all you got,
If I were you I would buy some more players.

Amazing...

we go from "bad bo" to "bo's the only thing you got"

Sounds legit

If bo wallace is all it took to beat bama....then we're in good shape

What? Mett was 2nd in the sec in qb rating and 3rd in passing yards.

Your defense only held our offense to 10, but LSU's defense held to 7. Ole Miss has a better offense. So in theory LSU has a better defense. And realistically they do.

Ole Miss held the Alabama offense to a season low 10 points. Your reasoning is flawed. LSU controlled the game from start to finish, and Ole Miss just got worn out from their offense's ineptitude. Ole Miss had an inconsistent offense that had a bad showing in Death Valley. Anyone can cherry pick games. How did Ole Miss's defense do versus Mississippi State?

That LSU defense couldn't even get the Tigers to a NY6 Bowl. LSU had a good defense, but it's nothing to write home about.

LSU's front 7 was garbage while DJ Welter started. They played weaker running games after the switch, and a few of LSU's opponents played well below their potential, which helps boost this perception that LSU's defenses is the best.

LSU fans are being really unfair here. Y'all beat up Ole Miss badly, and they lost several starters between the LSU and Auburn games, which affected their performance on both sides of the ball.

What significant contributors or leaders did LSU lose to injury midseason?

Dwayne Thomas. Q. Thomas also played with a torn bicep all year.
