He hit a nerve on a freak play. There is literally a less than 1% chance that this injury would ever happen again.

Dak has already shown that he is softer than Relf due to missing so many snaps while out with injuries last season.

I'm not sticking up for the kid or State but Dak isn't soft. He had a legit shoulder injury that kept him out a few games. If we had had a serviceable backup like Kincade in 2012, it's likely that Bo wouldn't have played with that hurt shoulder the entire season.

Do you think losing 4 of the last 5 Egg bowls is really where you think your program is at or is it really worse than that?

Nobody on this board (besides State fans) believes that MSU is the better football program.

From every player I've talked to Buchanan is #2

I do agree with pivey that the last 25 years they have probably had the better program. But it's close. Historically we easily hold the advantage.

This. Although he got hit in the shoulder, nothing broke, tore, or strained. It just pinched a nerve so he was unable to lift his arm for a good week. It was obviously a freak play and he showed he was back to 110% by the bowl game.

Was really impressed with him during spring. I just threw out the name Kincade because that's who most are familiar with. I think Buchanan, if he can get his speed up a little bit, will be really good. He's a lot bigger than I thought he would be.

Like HJJ said, y'all are historically the better program. I'd give us the edge from the past 25 years.

Why would they have the better program the last 25 years? Because they won the west when they went 8-5 and went on to get their asses beat by Texas?

We have a better overall and conference record in that time frame and have been to much better bowl games. They have absolutely not been a better program in the last 25 years.

One word.

Dak Prescott.

That's why we have the better program for the last 25 years.

Our 03 team is the best on the timeframe. Our 08 and 09 teams are better than any team State has had in the time frame other than the 99 team. You have not been the better program.

Was taking into account the West. Plus we were hit with Death Penalty like sanctions that crippled us until Tubs was able to make us competitive again. And had we not gotten Eli, the Cutcliffe years would have been beyond miserable. Overall since Mullen has arrived at State they have done better than us (total wins wise and the Egg Bowl)

Agree 100% with this. the 2008 Ole Miss team is likely the best team in the history of the State of Mississippi (minus the '59 team)
