thank you. ive been saying this forever! not about lsu but about other schools as well about bagging on our program for "not having a big stadium" or not being competitive in football! i mean there are three major schools to choose from for kids in our state

No, now you are moving over into excuse territory.

USM is not "major"--they play in CUSA.

Alabama has two SEC programs that manage to compete at a high level, despite having two other D-1A programs in the same state (and UAB beat USM this season, so don't give me any bull about USM being "major" and UAB not being so)....this despite having roughly the same population as Louisiana, only half the population of Georgia, and only a quarter of the population of Florida.....

And I could use plenty of other examples, as well, to make the same point......

I like both schools evenly. And hate the few stupid fans from both places who believe for some reason they are better than the others.

Alabama has more than double the population of MS. You forgot to add that.

You likely scheduled them a few years ago for your homecoming. Back when they weren't the Houston that they were this year.

No, it doesn't--it has about 50% more.

But predictably, you fail to see the point, namely that population differential is NOT an impediment to success, if a program is run the right way....which is why Alabama is playing for a national championship right now despite having huge disadvantages vis-a-vis Florida, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, and a whole boatload of non-SEC schools...

Why?

In part, because they find a way to overcome their disadvantages while Ole Miss looks for yet another excuse for failure to add to the 3 dozen that are rolled out on a regular basis......

Simple as that....

2 years ago they went 8-5 and went to the texas bowl

Pank you talk about your Chancellor and athletics and forward thinking and not being satisfied with being mediocre. You guys should bring NJreb on board.

Can't remember who posted it, but they are correct. If it was up to NJreb, Ole Miss would have a 90,000+ capacity stadium being filled with 25-30000 LSU, Bama fans or at half-capacity in other games.

That's all fine and dandy as long as you can find a coach willing to work for peanuts.......and we fired him 2 years ago.

No shite. We can't even fill up the 60,000 stadium we have. Because there is another one 2 hours south of us. Neither school has the fanbase to pull that off.

Why don't you get rid of all this angst in your life and find a new team; like Rutgers or something? Dayum you are a sad little man!

I guess Ole Miss feels more comfortable scheduling Northern Arizona, UAB, Southeastern Louisiana and the Powerhouse that is MEMPHIS

Please check your schedule next year rantard. Guess who the first fricking game is....MEMPHIS. You are also playing Alcorn State next year....yeah thats right Alcorn State. Please STFU.

More, totally typical, a$$-backwards thinking.

You can fill 90,000-seat stadiums with your own fans if you are a top-tier program that is competing seriously on a year-in, year-out basis.

But you have to decide to be first-rate in everything first and have a master plan to accomplish it and that requires vision, not excuses.....vision that Ole Miss has never had in the last 40 years....as you just demonstrated.

Tuberville got it, but became frustrated with the excuse-mongering and defeatism and so he left......

State has begun talks of stadium expansion for the north endzone. Think about how that will look if we have a bad year.
