Um he will probably be the number one player in the nation, and he's from Georgia.

After looking at BYU they return their 9 on Offense, including their entire OL.(6'4 300lb avg) They are suppose to be pretty deep on their DL with a couple of Southern Cal transfers.Their db's are the ?.Doesn't seem like a good matchup for Ole Miss.I wonder how loud Ole Miss fans will be for an OOC game, then maybe crowd and humidity could work in their favor?

This is a sad sad statement. I know STATE has had its share of bad losses at home, but anytime a home team fromthe SEC. maybe besides Vandy, has to suprise a team from a conference like the MWC its sad.

BYU destroyed us in Starkville the last time we played, a year after we embarrassed them in Provo. Just thought you would like to know that.

Their front 7 is pretty good but there are new coaches across the board on their team.

An entire new secondary plus a new secondary coach. I hope we pound the damn football with B-Bold, Scott, and Davis and then burn their green secondary when they stack the box.

I think we win a very close and entertaining game on opening weekend.

Dude, get a grip. It's all about perception. The media and opposing fans are saying we may "surprise" byu bc they are a borderline top 25 team and we had an abortion of a season last year. All the talking heads are saying we will just suck again and blah blah blah. Time will tell.

And oh yeah, BYU isnt in the MWC. Any more dynamite insight?

BYU fired their DC midseason last yr.Mendenhall has since be in charge of Defense and thats when they turned their season around. They do have a new OC and all seem curious about his playcalling. This is the game I wanted to bet on,so I thought I would do a little research.I can't imagine how much shite they will talk if Boise beats UGA. and BYU beats Ole Miss.

BYU was going for a BCS bowl that year and beat your team 41-38 with a FG on the last play of the game. Just thought you would like to know that.

I don't think this will really matter because it's the season opener. I'm sure it wouldn't matter who they played. The fans will be there.

The coaching staff changes will most likely have zero effect on BYU. Mendenhall handles the defense and Doman, the new OC, has been in the BYU system for years. He has been on their staff since 2005 or 2006 as the QB coach. He even played his college ball there. In actuality, there was very little turnover on the staff.

Ah, I see what you did there. Nice.

No, not too soon. It's not like the earthquake destroyed anything.

Mississippi will be playing lots of new faces on defense.
Mississippi top 2 DT's may be freshmen- think about that vs an experienced BYU OL
Mississippi's QB's are completely inexperienced. Can they complete passes vs a stacked box?
Mississippi's WR's are one of the worst groups in the SEC, and they are looking at true freshmen to step in and make an impact

I'll take BYU and the experience
