What fascinates me is how much time and emotion other fanbases are putting into this. OM fans should feel flattered.

Even during the time that the NCAA issued the NOA, they continue to investigate the Ole Miss football program – primarily focusing on three current football players and improper benefits.

which players? 2 of them are as obvious as the day is long but who's the 3rd?

At Ole Miss currently: D. Anderson, Little, and Pennamon. AJ Jones has been rumored as well.

Not at Ole Miss: R. Gary, S. Carter, Kongbo.

Add a current basketball player to the list of potential improper benefits as well.

All of this, mind you, while the current investigation was taking place. If true... and that's a very big IF at this point... then Ole Miss will have some serious explaining to do.

As I have stated before, I know nothing of the NCAA investigation in to Ole Miss... only the rumors that are out there. And up to this point, the rumor mill has been extremely accurate.

It's 100% truth Pank. You need to start accepting reality. Your Wood Munching Messiah cheats.

Kongbo is talking to the NCAA about it later this week, and you're gonna get your comeuppance. Ole Miss is done, it's over.

The 3 current players - Tunsil, Hampton, and the player who slept on his girlfriend's couch for two weeks.

Some of the guys the NCAA interviewed are guys that actually stiffed OM out of significant cash and went elsewhere.

They won't say shite to avoid losing eligibility.

But if Kongbo didn't take anything from Ole Miss, he may talk.

NCAA was at Allen HS in Texas lately.

NCAA is on Ole Miss like a bloodhound on a hot trail. The hammer is coming.

Ole miss could have paid everyone on their roster and nothing significant would happen. Two years maybe four years of repercussions, maybe. Penn St managed to knowingly cover up for a pedophile for years and is basically unscathed. USC was caught red handed and they are right back to where they were when they got caught.

NCAA has also been to every 10 Ten players home/school as per protocol each year.

Remember the Blind Side movie? SOS.

Did the Aggy have any top-10 this year?

Strange case, but Ole Miss will get some form of penalties. The question is how much and how big? The NCAA process is flayed, but it is all we have.

Now the question is, if Ole Miss (MSU) offered to pay players, then how are those players eligible at other schools? Even if the other schools did nothing wrong, many on this board believe they should be in trouble. That was the prevailing wisdom of this board for the last 5 plus years and to this day we hear it. MSU is quilty of discussing pay 4 play using a MSU former player and a recruits father, no money is known to have changed hands, the player goes to Auburn. Sound familiar?

Players are offered money from the vast majority of schools in every recruiting cycle. Being offered money and turning it down is not a violation on part of the recruit - particularly if you report the offering school. Working to negotiate a compensation with a school is a violation, whether you accept the money or not.

As you well know, there was a loop hole in the rules that allowed Cam to play because he didn't know what his dad was doing. That loop hole, again, as you well know, has been closed. The way players maintain eligibility now is either A) reporting the offering school, or B) serving some type of suspension (see Scarbrough, Bo)

You shouldn't crow too loudly. The NCAA can hear you. Even inside a new church.
