All joking aside it's the greatest gameday experience in the entire state of Mississippi.

It's the most popular bar in Oxford and the middle part is 18+ with a DJ or live band. It gets nuts in the Boom Boom Room especially football weekends.

Am i the only one who finds it extremely overrated? I've had good times there, but always liked the round table and now rafters more.

Obviously you can have a good time there; just never thought the covers were worth it when you had other bars just as good.

No i agree. It's very overrated unless you're under 21. I'm more of a Burgundy Room, Frank and Marlee's person.

For real? 80 dollars for a bar? Is that just to get in or does that get you drinks too?

Is it worth it to hit up the bars or does it make more sense just to hit up the grove?

The Grove is a cool place if you've never been. I went last year for the LSU game. Cool people as long as you don't start any shite.

Not to hijack this thread, but if you pay someone to set up your tailgate you are one step away from sucking a dick.

I will set up your tailgate for free. If you want electricity it's an additional $305.00

I don't think we would set up a tailgate. It would just be two of us I think. Are most people at the Grove pretty cool and inviting?

Omg, seriously? You want to go to an SEC game, and are leaning towards Oxford, Ms? Do yourself a favor and go to one of the 7 or 8 better SEC towns, though most don't have the unbelievably exaggerated "game day experience" that the Grove does. Go to Athens, Fayetteville, Nashville, Knoxville, Lexington, Baton Rouge, or College Station. A couple of those aren't upper echelon college towns, but they are close to better metropolitan areas than Memphis. Hell, go to Columbia, MO for that matter. It's close to NE and you should have no trouble getting good seats.
