The "Closet Rebel" knows all. I think a bowl ban does happen, and it might be a two year ban. What grounds could Ole Miss sue against the bowl ban? As stated in previous posts USC got a two year for things very similar, but school officials weren't involved. In reality, I couldn't care less what happens. I just want you to admit you are a Rebel fan instead of hiding it.

I honestly think its gonna be around either a 6 or 7, an 8 at the most. No way their gonna give them the death penalty unless every kid on the team was paid to go there. The real question to me is when is the NCAA gonna announce what punishments their gonna dole out?

From the yesterday's article:
quote:

Miller says he told the NCAA those nights were arranged by boosters he met through Kiffin, but the NCAA never found that link. Kiffin's name appears 13 times in the Notice of Allegations, but none of those prove he set Miller up with boosters.

But keep saying otherwise, and that this was all a systemic, orchestrated plan

What do you believe the punishment is gonna be at the end of the year and do you think there is gonna be more damning information thats gonna come out about the Tunsil situation, I honestly wanna hear from an OM fan about this because so far it seems that things are gonna get worse b4 it gets any better.

according to the NOA, I'd say anywhere between a 2-4.

They will get probation, few schollies spread out over a few years, maybe one year bowl ban. At worst a few more schollies and another year bowl ban

To be honest, even though OM is beating AU on some fronts, I'd just as soon nothing happen to them.

When Bama gets the hammer, then OM (and others) deserve it too. Until then, OM is doing a decent job helping kick Bama in the balls.

what legal case does ole miss have when a university agrees to become part of the NCAA? you agree to their terms, rules and regulations and your university votes on the legislation.

Miller gave the NCAA all he had after LT beat the shite out of him for touching his mom. Miller then wears LT's knee brace to court and makes himself look like a dumbass. He then runs to the NCAA and gives up everything he has. NCAA follows rabbit hole. Finds loaner cars, other stuff in NOA. No pay for play.

So you are telling me after the text messages the NCAA is gong to go back to Miller and he is going to bring OM down? If he had that info it would have been in the NOA. The NCAA is going to have a really tough time proving anything happened regardless of what happened on draft night. And if nothing else happens then we might get another scholarship loss a year and no bowl ban.

Miller sure as hell isnt going to be the one to being OM down.

So, you have actual proof that Miller assaulted Tunsil's mother? Because I'm sure Tunsil's attorneys would love to have it.

Yeah, that's not how this works. Miller wouldn't be required to prove a negative. Care to try again.

Honestly, if there is nothing more than what was in the original NOA, I think they probably add 4-5 more scholarship losses, add recruiting restrictions, and we might have to sacrifice an assistant coach. It would not shock me if we are given a 1 year bowl ban just because of the publicity of the case and the NCAA not wanting to look weak. We've committed infractions and admitted to them, so they are justified in giving us a bowl ban when Ohio State was given one for the whole tattoogate and it cost them a shot at a national championship. That being said, I the SEC is a powerhouse and if they are going to bat for us, I think we'll get lucky and get out of a bowl ban.

That being said, if the whole "Blue Chips" analogy is correct and we've had coaches directing boosters and they have proof of that, I can see the NCAA coming after Freeze and maybe a multiple year bowl ban. While I don't doubt there is a system in place, I would hope our coaches are smart enough to not involve themselves in it. I've read where people say the NCAA doesn't need proof, but they are not going to hand out a show cause and kill the program based on the word of someone like Lindsey Miller. I could be wrong, but I just don't see them risking lawsuits based on that guy's word.
