So in theory a team could be picked #1 and lose every game by 1 point on the last play with one of their best players out each game. So using the eye test, how hard they played ,etc someone can argue they are still the best team. I know this is the extreme but its basically what many of you are arguing. Why do we even play? Lets just vote a champ every year without playing a single game. Just list your players. We could save lots of injuries this way. Yall may be onto something.

Except I'm backing the idea that LSU deserves to be ranked behind Ole Miss.

The true melters are showing their melt. The last few weeks they have been focused on us trying to deflect but this thread shows their true colors. This makes my heart warm to see such a melt and I will remember this thread for years to come.

I'm getting stupider reading this thread. Seriously, the average LSU poster posting in this thread can't have an IQ above room temperature.

Your contribution to this thread is to call everyone stupid. I'm willing to bet you have a serious lack of confidence in your intelligence and you are simply jumping at the chance to belittle everyone else's "lack of intelligence".

vs Auburn, yeah. Versus LSU they were given multiple gifts but couldn't win the game. I don't understand why they're given a pass for "lost a close one in a very tough environment" but not discredited b/c they squandered advantages.

As an LSU alumni, what is your point? What really matters is the final score on the scoreboard, not this head to head shite, and LSU beat the other team head to head. The final score is what really matters. Previous posts by LSU "fans" convince me that this board is nothing but a bunch of kids who wish they could rub elbows with a tiger player while they're a piss at an urinal. Please research previous posts that were started in the last two days. Who in their sane minds would start a post about who rubbed against you while taking a piss?

Since when is a 10-7 victory a domination?? LSU never even led Ole Miss until 5 minutes left in game. Jeesshh. What delusions

I can speak multiple languages, am highly educated, and very refined, so you'd lose your bet that I lacked confidence in my intelligence. If anything, I have a bit of a superiority complex with my intelligence rather than an inferior one.

Makes perfect sense, because one was lost over two retarded blunders, and the other was lost thanks to horrifying bullshite. Y'all lost a game by over 30 fricking points. Ole Miss should without question be the highest two loss team in the nation.

tl;dr

OM is lucky we didn't beat your asses by 4 touchdowns.

Ole Miss is a better team than LSU this year.

"OMG BUT WE BEAT THEM!!!"

Yeah, it was an upset, they happen sometimes. The better team doesn't win the game 100% of the time.

I want them to look at a total body of work and not just one game.

If that were true, you'd expect them to rank LSU ahead of Ole Miss. The two teams have the same record, LSU has played a tougher schedule, has beaten two top-25 teams to Ole Miss' one, it's losses were to the #1 and #3 while Ole Miss' were to #3 and #16, and LSU has beaten Ole Miss head to head. But all of that means nothing because LSU lost by a big margin on the road against the #3 team that also beat Ole Miss at Ole Miss. So, who's focusing on "just one game" here?

Imagine that. Calling people stupid and having a superiority complex. Never would have thought those two traits went together. LOL

They've lost their games by a combined 7 points, one on the road and one against a top 3-4 team on a very unlucky ending.

If you believe this, you are an absolute idiot. LSU dominated OM and if not for the four turnovers, it would have reflected it on the scoreboard. OM was the lucky one that LSU allowed them to stay in it.

I understand it simultaneously, i thought head to head matches meant more, and i thought they gave credit to late teams getting hot.

See how hypocritical they are now this week. Last week it was all about head to head was most important.

Like others have said the committee will be a disaster.

agreed. said this last week. letting humans make the decision is going to create more controversy than there was before. should have kept the old metrics in place but added 2 teams for a playoff. problem solved

minus a head coach brainfart, not paying attention to the play clock, had a chance at a field goal to send it into overtime.
