believe it or not, but this is a renovated park 
they upgraded permanent seating in 2013, and no we dont have any plans for a new ballpark. we are just starting to get going on a new football facility and an IPF

Why is the university so slow to update the facilities there outside of anything basketball?

UCLA just puts so little into our athletic program. we should be able to throw money around, but we rarely do

its just the way the athletic program is. we just renovated pauley pavilion after dragging our feet on that, we just made some renovations to the rose bowl, and we are just now starting to get going on a new football facility and an IPF if i remember correctly

That sucks especially for an university with such a storied history & the potential to achieve so much more in today's sports climate.
