Poor poor rebs, everybody picking on them: ESPN

And, remember, this is before any potential further punishment from the NCAA has been handed down. While a lawyer might argue for time served, we’re not talking about a courtroom. One or two more mediocre recruiting classes like this will set back the program long term.

Pearl (Mississippi) High School coach John Perry, who hosted a Michigan satellite camp with Jim Harbaugh last summer, said recruits are intelligent and are aware the investigation is “hanging out there.”

“And you know other folks are using that against them,” Perry said. “But it can’t be productive. I know Coach Freeze and them do a great job of recruiting, but there’s no way in the world that it can help them with the cloud over them. … Everyone is in a quandary about what’s going to happen. You can’t blame the athletes for second-guessing. Look at Cam Akers. ‘Are we going to go to a bowl game or not?’ That’s a natural question they’re asking themselves.”

We brought in the top class in program history in the middle of the investigation. We are doing shitty now because other programs are telling kids we will get a 4 year bowl ban. If we cheat and yall dont, why do we lose kids every year to schools like MSU? Why do kids turn down buckets of cash to play for Auburn for free?

Well evidently we don't contribute anything to the conference anyway, so would this really be considered setting back the program?

And if History repeats itself, Ole Miss will probably beat MSU once y'all start to gain momentum. All will stay the same in our state.... which doesnt matter to anyone else.

So all other coaching staffs are using the NCAA against ole miss , the NCAA is still looking at our staff.
These other schools get to recruit without these negatives.

And you are shocked we aren't recruiting well?

It's cause and effect

This is true. What the NCAA is doing to Ole Miss is very wrong. Even though they are not a government agency and not obligated to give a "speedy and fair trial", this goes against our values. They are effectively crushing the program without a fair process by dragging this out so long.

Fall from grace considering they had the #4 class last year right behind LSU and Alabama

Wonder what this year's recruiting class is seeing that Shea Patterson didn't?

Besides how awful the defense was after losing majority of the talent it had the previous year.

Shea's brother is on the OM staff, so that's a little different

You do realize if y'all don't get Bowie, State will end up with 1 top 10 player in the state of MS. I've been complaining about how pathetic our recruiting is, but given the NCAA stuff going on and recruits being scared off by it, how does State not take advantage and own MS in recruiting this year?

It's the NCAA cloud. I know you are repeating this just for a little message board fun, but if by chance you aren't smart enough to know it already, well, you are beyond saving.

Mad because they wanted to be at a school that utilizes the forward pass?

Help us count. What player outside of Kylin is in the top 10 in MS?
