LSU and Ole Miss finished with the same conference record; however:

1. LSU won the head-to-head. Beat you at home.
2. LSU had a better division record
3. LSU went to the conference championship
4. LSU finished the regular season 11-1, while Ole Miss was 9-3.

Make it make sense.

They haven't had much to celebrate since the 60's. It's literally that simple.

I’m an Ole Miss fan and I think it’s stupid.

Agreed.

But watching LSU fans squeal and squirm over it makes the stupid as shite banner more than worth it.

Unless you win the SEC championship there is no need for a banner.

LSU lost to an SEC East team. Ole Miss loss to an SEC West team.

Math is hard, huh?

From what I understand, most Ole Miss fans have this sentiment. It's the university that calls it a "championship," and recognizes it as such. Am I right in saying that?

You are. But you're leaving out that we didn't just make it up. The Conference awarded us a share of the division. They even sent us a trophy just like they did for LSU.

Sad when you celebrate winning the SEC west when you didn't actually win the SEC west.

Co-rrect. That's be cause we co-won the west. That's why we're considered Co-Champions.

Because they are.

The tie-breaker doesn't determine who wins the division. It just determines who gets to go to the SECCG. I know this is difficult for LSU fans to understand....seeing as how we have the exact same conversation every year...but you'll need to send your complaints to the SEC front office.

The best thing that’s happened to Ole Miss football since integration is an opportunity to troll LSU fans?

I mean that's your opinion but the entertainment value absolutely makes up for the weirdness of it.

LSU has carried at least 2 coaches on their shoulders after beating A&M. Might be 3 now.

Make that make sense.

They also stormed the field twice against Ole Miss in the last 10 years.
