FIFY

And I literally mean I fixed it, because Dak for Heisman was a legitimate meme this summer, whereas I haven't yet heard anybody mention Bo as a Heisman hopeful.

Because everyone knows Bo doesn't have a chance.

Can't wait to watch the fall happen.

And yes I'm very butthurt right now... but it will be worth it (I feel like I stole this line from Aggie Land).

I saw that BS "Dak for Heisman" posted on here too, but never anywhere else. Don't even know who posted it; but probably one of the many OM Rant newb posters if I had to guess.

They are both great QBs, but not in that conversation.

No, because Bo, like Dak, isn't playing for a team with a legit shot at the conference title.

Come the frick on. Dak was never a legitimate shot because he plays for Mississippi State. Heisman winners don't get selected from 7 or 8 win teams from Mississippi.

What do you mean by "the fall"? When we lose to teams that are ranked higher than us?

EDIT: Oh, and it's telling that you're going to concern yourself with Ole Miss and not State. #GRINDIN

Oh don't even pretend like there weren't plenty of State people hyping that shite.

Bo for Heisman
Ole Miss should be ranked #1
Ole Miss will win the west, the SEC, and the NC

Did I make happy?

Regardless if they are correctly slotted at #10 or not, I'll say this about Hugh Freeze--what he has done since coming to Oxford is nothing short of a football miracle.

That 2011 Ole Miss team might be the worst SEC football team ever fielded. I'm putting them in the early 90's category with Vanderbilt. Not only were they bad, they were virtually talentless, outside of Jeff Scott, and Donte Moncrief.

I thought that going to a bowl by year #3 in the Freeze regime would be outstanding.

Right now, that team on starters alone can compete with anyone. Honestly, depth is the only thing that will hold them back this year.

That offense under Bo looks really good. They have a manageable schedule. They get Alabama & Auburn at home, and miss the "big boys" of the East completely. If they get a few bounces, this team legitimately might compete.

It was pitiful. I expected 3-4 wins in 2012. When State claims 4 out of 5, three of those wins were under Nutt. He left us with almost nothing. frick him. I don't know how to feel with OM being ranked 10th, but from 2011 to now, I can't complain with where the program is going.

This is something that a lot of people have missed, and I think that's because football fans (especially those that post on this message board) have very short memories.

The talent level in Oxford is MUCH higher than it was just three seasons ago, and it's only getting better. The team is more well coached, and the program is much more well run. Players aren't getting in the academic and discipline problems they were under Nutt, players generally aren't leaving the team or dropping out of school for no reason, and they actually play football like they give a shite whether they win or lose.

On top of all of that, the boosters are happy, the sidewalk fans feel more included as a part of the program, and the media* is treated much better. Hugh Freeze and our new AD Ross Bjork have contributed to all of that.

As far as an X's and O's, gameday guy, Freeze is middle of the pack in the SEC. As far as actually running a program (the head coach is like the CEO of the program because there is SO much more involved than just the games themselves) he is elite.

*The media thing may not seem like much, but Houston Nutt was fricking AWFUL with the media. Freeze, on the other hand, is pretty damn good in showing them respect but not giving them too much information.

ETA: frick Houston Nutt with a red hot pitchfork.

I feel it is warranted at this point. Can't think of too many teams I would certainly put ahead of them.

You're in denial if you can't see that the program today is much more well run than it was under Nutt.

We had zero academic casualties this Summer and our discipline issues were minor. That hasn't happened at Ole Miss in a long time, and it certainly didn't happen under Houston Nutt.

ETA: You're scared as frick. Ole Miss is on the upswing and Mullen has already peaked. You know this.

If Bo Wallace can play well, and not make mistakes, this team has the talent to win at minimum, one premier game.

However, every school has their nemesis as a team, they just cannot beat.

Miss. State has LSU. Tennessee has Florida. Ole Miss has Alabama.

If State and Ole Miss can't beat LSU and Alabama this year, it might never happen.

We started at 11. Peaked at 4. Finished at 20. Is that abnormal? Wasn't UGA the runaway favorite to win the east before Saturday?

Diggs, have you watched us play? Since the 1st half of the Boise game, we have been a well oiled machine with a stiff as hell defense. I think we the coaches poll ranking of 12 is probably about right.

Even with a 10 ranking, there are 4 other teams in the West ahead of us. Sick. SO we are 10th in the country but 5th in our division.

That being said, am surprised State is ranked yet. They deserve to be.

Sounds a lot like a description of Nick Saban. The man lost the iron bowl on an idiotic 50+ yard field goal being returned for a TD. Nick Saban wins championships in the offseason, and he's the best coach in college football for it.
