Your post with claimed MNC's since WWII in BOLD
MNC years since 1980 listed at end

quote:

West.

7 OU = 1985 and 2000
0 OK ST
1 Arkansas
0 Mizzou
3 LSU = 2003 and 2007
0 A&M
3 Ole Miss
0 Miss St

14 total and just 4 since 1980

East.

11 Bama = 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2015
2 Auburn = 2010
0 Vandy
4 Tennessee = 1998
1 Kentucky
2 Georgia = 1980
0 S. Carolina
3 Florida = 1996, 2006, and 2008

23 total and 12 since 1980

East would be skrong
West would be not so skrong

this is false. OU endowment as of 2015 is 1.5 billion, A&M's is 4.7 billion.

the texas A&M university SYSTEM is 10.5 billion, however this figure is 2/3 the 10xOU endowment you claimed.

furthermore, seeing as OU's student body is approximately 37,000 and A&M's is approximately 65,000, the per capita comparison of OU and A&M's endowments reveals that, adjusted for population, A&M's endowment is about 174% of OUs. which, while clearly superior, is not close to the 1000% you advertised.

I hope for your sake your educational experience at A&M was not math related.

Proven false by the fact that they were turned down by every conference they tried to join in 2012.

Fact is, it wasn't OU that was turned down. It was little brother that no one wanted. If OU had been willing to drop the requirement that Okie Lite be admitted too, we would have a completely different conference association.

Personally, if OU is going to leave the Big 12, I'd love to see them in the SEC. I would become a season ticket holder again if the home games I got to see each season included teams like Bama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, etc. At least then I'd be guaranteed to see a real game and not one that's over by halftime.

Plus, there'd be a few guaranteed wins built in too (A&M, Mizzou, Vanderbilt, Kentucky)...

Furthermore, comparing yourselves to A&M is plain silly. We are your betters in every way; No non football related metric qualifies you to shine our boots. You would hypothetically have the 3rd largest endowment in the SEC; impressive, until you consider the fact that ours is more than 10 times larger. In no scenario would we ever be substitutes for one another. But by all means, keep dreaming!

I've always been against Oklahoma joining the SEC but after reading your post I think I could support it now just to watch an additional SEC team give the Aggies another annual beat-down.

You sound like a frikkin Bevo -- Please tell you're an alter and not a real A&M fan.

It's not the only thing that's not true. Texas A&M is only historically better in two sports by a significant margin.

.....Equestrian and track

Equestrian, a sport with approximately 16 teams that compete for a national championship.

they claim three fake football national championships. If Oklahoma used their system of claiming football national championships we could claim 17, but we don't.

Also.

Oklahoma is historically better than A&M in just about every metric in Basketball.

Oklahoma has 32 total national championships, A&M (if you count their 11 equestrian and 3 inferiority complex football championships) has 25.

Oklahoma Is "historically better" than A&M in Football (obvs)

Basketball (more championship appearances, more final 4s, more elite 8s, etc)

Baseball (2 NCs to 0)

Softball (3 NCs, including more tournament appearances and more top 6 finishes)

Wrestling (7 NCs to 0)

Men's gymnastics (10 NCs to 0)

Women's gymnastics (2 NCs to 0)

Men's Golf is a draw

The bastards got us in track and field and women's basketball.

I thought I'd use my first post as a lurker to laugh at Texas A&M being the Red Headed Stepchild of the SEC, because they were the Red Headed Stepchild of the Big 12. Now that I think of it, they were all probably actual Red Headed Stepchildren in real life.

Gig'em or whatever.

And no, no one back home is getting their hopes up about joining the SEC. We don't need a conference to feel better about ourselves.

The only people wanting a move to the SEC are Tshirt fans, and even a good number of them are sceptical. The vast majority of fellow OU grads I've talked to would prefer a move to the Big 10.

Wrestling is a pretty integral part of what is now considered modern mixed martial arts. I don't hear a lot of people calling Brazilian grappling "grabass".

In the meantime, Seattle is the 5th gayest city in America. Congrats.

Oklahoma City ranked 4th from last. according to Business insider and Gallop.

But you guys can take pride in the fact that you're basically the Oklahoma football of Men's rowing.

After a trip to College Station, Slive went to Norman but OU administration said only if Pokes could come along. I understand this is an accurate rendition of Slive's response.

Mizzou got OU's invite so only way it works now is if Sooners pay Tigers to move to the B1G or PAC.

bearbait09 doesn't know jack shite about how the State of Texas has the endowments allocated. And no, it isn't worth taking the time to explain it to him.

bearbait09 has also not been to chokelahoma or he would know that First Nations owns 2/3 of the state and don't pay taxes.

Let it be said, let it be known---if any you bloomer fans want to keep winning. perhaps(a big gamble here) winning 10+ games a year(and i'm being serial}, the SEC is NOT the place.

It is above yer pay and cerebral grade to imagine the gauntlet of running thru what we do here and WIN !0+ games.

OU has a respectable program and could POSSIBLY compete in the SEC...but then their recruiting wouid change and they would be out on a long limb that would in time make them equivalant to outside SEC programs on the edge.

Best just stay where ya is, claim Vics AGAINST lower rated SEC schools in bowls and regular season games as u can and pound yer bird chest along the way.
