What happens when Texas does not get their way.

In the Big 12 they could hold most of the conference hostage financially, saying if they do not have their way they will leave (which maybe exactly what they are doing now.)

You think they would be dumb enough to try that in the SEC?

Move the SEC offices or we will leave
Move the SECCG or we will leave

I hope if Texas does join they are smarter than that, but if Texas AM is right, Texas is not.

If there is one bit of silver lining out of all this it's that they will be forced to behave themselves and that is not in their nature, so get out your popcorn.

I'd welcome this. Atlanta is a dump!

Some of you sound ridiculous thinking Texas is going to walk in and tell the SEC how things will work. Our conference runs college Athletics right now. They want us.

That is not going to fly because it will be a hollow threat. They are not going to leave, TV money will be too good.

This. The problem for Texas is they lost that bargaining power. No one leaves the SEC for another conference.

If they wanna walk, let em walk. They're just another school here. One school, one vote.

Some of you people need to calm down. You've spent the last 9 years having smoke blown up your asses by disgruntled aggots and tiggers on here, like a scorned divorcee spends all her time blaming her husband for the divorce.

She wasn't talking to other men on her cell phone tryna step out. She din-do-nuffin!

They won't have the power or pull to bully anyone if they join the conference. The Original members won't let that happen. If they don't like something they can frick off.

That’s not how it works.

Texas works by getting Texas alums or puppets into positions of power and then working to benefit just Texas.

They didn’t buy off the NCAA infractions committee, they leveraged connections to get an alum installed as head of the committee, then went to work on rivals.

They didn’t just throw their weight around the B12, they installed their own sycophants as the commissioner and positions of power, and then played stupid when the conference organization bent the field to their benefit.

This is the stupidest "concern" I've seen. Even if they were to try anything, it wouldn't go anywhere. They'll get in line.

You have a point, Gump. Texas needs us more than the SEC needs Texas. For once I feel a bond with Bammer.
