12 tackles, 1 tackles for loss, a fumble recovery and 2 passes broken up.

Wow. What could JFF do to ever top that?

Two tackles and a forced fumble on the same play. And then scored on the next one.

You're lucky. As a Catholic I have to hear their fans BS all the damn time.

My favorite is when a-holes who defended the Church up and down for its handling of the POS pedo priests turn around and bash JFF for underage drinking and a fake ID.

These are older folks, 40-75. I just think its funny that the main fault to the heisman in recent years has been, the best player on the best team issue, and then they redeem themselves and actualy give it to a great player, then madness ensues. Teo stats were very meh, he should not have even been a finalist

It happened this year, too.

The media loves ND. That's why they severely underrated the Irish. Start the season unranked, finish in the national championship.

Wrong. They were forced to rank them outside the top 25 after whiffing for however many straight years.

The Heisman has been diminished by not choosing Manti Te'o. I believe that with all my heart.

The result just made a joke of the trophy and what it should stand for...

To be honest I am quite sick of the amount of love the guy has gotten. Yes he is a good football player you can't take that away from him but people keep saying I can't believe what he did in the sec. Look at their schedule! Just take a look and you'll see how weak it was. He played alabama, lsu and florida that's about it. His more impressive games were against much weaker schools and he really played bad against LSU. I could go on about how Manti should win the heisman over him but I don't wanna get started. Back to the topic, some might think I'm foolish to compare Golson and Manziel. For starters they play in completely different offenses. Golson is asked to be much more of a game manager where Manziel plays in an offense where the offense is built and called around him. Manziel is very improvisational and fast, makes many plays on his feet. For a young guy he takes care of the ball fairly well and has a good enough arm to get by. But I just watched his film for the second or third time and was more drawn towards how weak the schedule was. He's a good player no doubt, but he is getting way too much fame from this season. His o-line is great and he has a sensational freshman and Ryan Swopes who I think is going to be a huge steal in the second or third round. Golson first off doesn't get the amount of passing plays as manziel and has missed some time. I can't say Golson is as fast as Manziel but he isn't far behind. I think he is also just as good as feeling the pressure and escaping it. I have never seen someone so light and swift footed as Everett. Golson No doubt about it has the stronger arm, also probably one of the strongest arms in the whole country. As well Golson is very good at taking care of the ball, the few picks he threw I see as growing pains that he'll overcome by next season. There isn't many things Golson does wrong, he's very accurate as well and lets remember he's the same age as Manziel. I just found it odd after watching film on the guy who will probably win the heisman ( undeserved however), that I would no doubt in my mind still take Golson. I think Golson is better suited for our offense, but I'd still take him over Manziel in any offense. Anyone else feel the same when they watch Manziel?

FYI, the QB who was benched against Michigan is better than Manziel.

Just because we beat a team by 20 doesn't mean they were a bad team

Ole Miss and Ms St are solid squads. They just had the misfortune of playing 3 Top 10 teams in their same division. They are Top 30 teams in the nation though if you were to do a power ranking IMO.

Buuuut... Doesn't matter. Won Heisman

I think Manti said it all when interviewed after the ceremony and asked what he thought about Johnny Football. Something to the effect "He creates things out of nothing".

A kid that A&M is recruiting is coached by Manti's dad in Hawaii. When asked about the Heisman he said he thinks JFF should win it.

He's expected to commit to us soon. He's being recruited by Brian Polian. Who was at ND and recruited Mant Te'o previously.

I agree. My observation has been that when you pay a Big 12 style offense, you either meet a certain threshold or they put 35+ points on you. The middle ground seems very small. Ole Miss and Miss State don't meet that threshold.
