Meh, I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's a public display for visitors. Has anybody ever seen the pics have made with various statues and landmarks in DC? Having some fun. Spray painting, derogatory messages on there, etc may be a bit over the top but this is harmless and I, and 99.99% of Bama fans would have smiled and kept walking or took pictures of it themselves. Updyke, no but most SEC fans in general are just pretty common people. Comments about the south, well they've been doing this for 200 years and will never stop. I'd take the south over Ohio any day but that doesn't mean everybody would. I hate Miami, Memphis and the ATL but I know folks that like it. I'm glad they stoped to visit the man. This is a non-issue with everybody except non- Bama fans. 99.99% of us, We frankly couldn't care less that they did this.

Meh don't take it so serious. Updyke was (is) an individual who needs mental help. He is not representative of anything but how mental health needs to be better addressed.
No prank deserves serious retaliations. But Ohio State is not pranking fairly, I mean, where is the Urban statue?

I feel sorry for the kind of Bama fan that freaks out about things like this. That said, those pictures along with the comments are a little tough to swallow. Not because I feel disrespected, just because those people are such fricking dorks about everything yet feel they are just so hard. I particularly liked the guy who was like "yeah! My buddies are heading down there as we speak dressed head to toe in OSU gear! They're gonna be so aggressive!!!! Yeah!!!"

I don't think we're in danger of one of those popping up any time soon. But as far as campus pranks go, this one is great. Nothing destroyed, nothing vandalized, just a funny and creative way to troll your opponent.

Reality. I think it was kind of funny and would/have done similar pranks myself. Yankee Stadium will never be the same..

It is scary how serious some people take things, but again I think that is more a case of mentally unstable people having greater access to information now and more outlets for the crazy.
