Do they have a football team? Butch might be interested after next season.

Do you think they could be convinced to cover his buyout? We should seriously investigate this option...

you cant get arrested for being drunk in public

That is really unique but I image many cops get around this by labeling it as disturbing the peace.

These list always piss people off and make for an enjoyable thread. Always going to be that one guy that comes out and says one specific city is a shite hole and riles everyone else up.

It's dumb to rank college cities with college towns IMO

I'm sure they have some loop holes like you said. luckily for a normal person like me stumbling around not causing issues for others, its a ok.

Tho, you CAN receive a citation for drunk in public, but even that is rare unless your fricking with ppl in public

I feel like people from Athens or recent alumns have a sort of throw away list to give to out of towners. So, Bourbon St and Pauleys/Magnolias for bar, last resort and mamas boy for food, etc. No real thought behind those suggestions, just default recommendations. I don't think I've been to any of those places (save mamas boy) in at least 5 years and I'm not necessarily thing to go back for one reason or another (overrated, crowded).

Usually Nashville is defaulted to #1 and left off the list because it's unfair for podunks to compete with it. Shows how little the OP really knows.

How tf is Nashville at #9? That city is awesome. Professional football/hockey teams, great food, great music, smart university, good grade schools, overall nice people.

this, like most lists like it, are bull shite opinion based garbage. they have no credibility whatsoever. Lexington, Fayetteville and esp. Nashville are WAY underrated. so is oxford.

Tuscaloosa and Gainesville being anything above the bottom third is an outright joke. I've been to every city on this list except Columbia, mizzou and this is by far the WORST ranking shite I've ever seen.

Gainesville is the most vanilla town Ive been to. I haven't been to all of them but cant imagine itd be any higher than bottom 4-5. It was pretty clean though so it probably shouldn't be dead last.

My experience too. It's not close to being the best but it's certainly not close to being the worst either. Just a typical college town really.

Lexington should be much higher. Has to rank near the top in beauty with the horse farms. Remains my favorite sec road trip

Why are y'all picking on Starkvegas?
It is actually not a bad town at all.

But really you have three different types of cities here

First, your metro areas:
Nashville, Knoxville, Red Stick, Lexington, Columbia SC

Second, your midsize cities:
Tuscaloosa, Gainesville, Fayetteville, Columbia, MO

Then your true college towns:
Oxford, College Station, Athens, Auburn, Starkvegas.

So you are better off comparing those towns as they relate to similar sized areas. Each have their positives and negatives but overall generally all 14 can be cool places to visit during either football, basketball or baseball seasons.

There are really TWO BR's.

The BR north of Florida Blvd and the BR south of Florida.

Most everything south is fine...............
