That is quite true. Kudos for admitting it.
I must be honest here -- I never in my life have ever heard of firing your coach in September and failing to have a coaching search plan in place in November. That's two months of LSU sitting with thumb up the butt.
Now, two months later, TWO first choices spurn LSU, and what happens? Miles fired in September. DEFENSIVE LINE COACH hired to be HC two months later.
I have never seen such underwhelming incompetence anywhere else in college football. It's shocking, and, a new low for LSU.

Let's be completely accurate here. LSU hired their Defensive Line coach to be head coach.
LSU had no plan to search for a coach. LSU had no plan to hire a coaching search firm. LSU's only back up plan if spurned by Herman and Jimbo was to hire Harambe the Defensive Line coach.

So we've got "Louisiana All-LSU Guys" hired for basketball and now football.
I'm a big baseball and also a "Louisiana All-LSU guy" so I've already submitted my resume for a future baseball coaching job. And no, I've never coached a day in my life. But let's not let such a silly detail get in the way.

There's really not much to say to defend this decision. We had 2/3 of the season to talk to people and we got nothing? Hard to believe that our AD has a job in the SEC.

I've been an LSU fan for a long time... (since the 60's...) and this is all on our AD.
As I understand it, Alleva walked away from both Fisher and Herman for various reasons and clearly went with the popular choice.. great leadership.
I will be rooting for Orgeron's success but I am not optimistic.
