I like our basketball team more than the football team.

We actually got a good look considering the situation. Didn't love the initial play though. Cooper (even though he actually played pretty well) driving to the basket is not what we want.

We just got pretty much nothing offensively out of Retin and Pollard, who had been playing pretty well.

Sucks. Next year is a huge year for Grant. I didn't expect the tournament coming in this year, but I definitely expect it next year (unless Trevor does something silly). Would be a complete failure not to make it.

On to US-Mexico.

Really hoping it's not a complete disaster of a sports night. This was bad enough.

I hate that our back line is depleted.

You'd literally have to go back years to find an LSU home basketball game that had as many fans as Alabama did tonight for a marginally important NIT game. Alabama averaged around 13,000 a game last season which was in the top 40 in the country in attendance and almost twice what LSU did.

Well, at least they gave us the 7 minute diatribe about the UCLA coaching situation. The color announcer must have gone to drop a deuce during that BS.

Trent Johnson killed LSU's attendance. We'll have a huge increase under Johnny Jones though.

We might have a huge increase next year if the team reaches its full potential

I think we should replace Gueye at center with the statue of Nick Saban. More athleticism, less mental mistakes, and at least the Saban statue may intimidate someone in the paint.

I expected a low seed in the tourney but I completely agree that if everyone comes back, next year is the true test for Grant.

With the roster and experience they've got now, even simply making the tourney shouldn't be enough. Anything less than a high seeding and a win or two should be considered a failure.

As long as Mussa Gueye is starting we will not be in contention to win anything. That dude has to be the biggest waste of a starting body of a descent college team that I have ever saw.

Agreed. He's probably a nice guy, but DAMN. Unfortunately, I don't think Engstrom is a huge upgrade. Jacobs is a PF. I pray to god we get a real center.
