I doubt you'll find many that will argue that a team that is installing a new offensive system and bringing in a new DC and 1st year starter QB will experience any problems in the SEC.

Said it before and I'll say it again. AU will beat all the teams they should beat, and get the shite kicked out of them (slightly less than last year) by the teams that should kick the shite out of them.

LSU, Arky, UGA, and Bama are L's.

8-4 unless the team folds after a loss to one of the above.

While this could certainly happen -

I think Chizik HAS to win one of those four games this year. He can't go 4-12 against LSU/ARK/UGA/BAMA in 4 yrs, that just looks bad.

Ehhh..the dude has a ring and he has "exceeded expectations". AU folks would be good with 8-4.

Chiz bought himself all kinds of time with 2010. I don't think he has to do much of anything other than not absolutely implode. Auburn fans expect some improvement and they (we) are going to get it..."some" improvement though might mean the same record or even one more loss.

8-4 with losses to Bama, LSU and UGA and one of Clemson/Arky. I think I counted like 10 posters that predicted Mississippi State would beat Auburn. bring that weak shite

exceeded expectations

I'd say he's exceeded the predictions for auburn most years. Whether or not that's good enough is a horse of a whole different color.

I respectfully think expectations is to amorphous of a term to pin down for this purpose.

I see what you're doing and realize you're basing this on all the back and forth you have with certain auburn posters. As it's been said a hundred times if he were to go 8-4 it depends how he does it. More throttlings like we took last year will certainly not sit well with the locals.

Throttlings at the hands of your four biggest rivals (LSU/Ark/UGA/UA) like y'all took last year won't be tolereated by many AU folks in '11.

There are no excuses anymore - when you have talent, depth, and experience you shouldn't have meltdowns. And, with the improved coaching staff, I don't think you will. It sounds like some players have stepped up and are being leaders. (Y'all needed that badly last year.)

Are smoking hash and reading coffee grinds or do you actually have a rationale for this?

This is one of my biggest message board pet peeves...Saying "I am just not seeing blah blah blah" and offering no explanation at all. Like you have no reason to believe something, but you have had a spiritual vision about a football game or have ESP or some shite. If you have no reason, you have no opinion, shut the hell up! I'd rather hear some idiot EXPLAIN why he thinks Bama is going to win every national championship for the next 10 years than listen to someone say "I don't have any reason to think this, but this is just the way I feel it will happen". Well thanks a lot Sister Cleo...now shut the hell up

Always

1. They will be very up for this game, players, fans, coaches
2. Noon KO's and AU dont really mix.
3. We will have two new tackles on the road against one maybe two pretty good DEs.
4. We will have a brand new QB going against possibly the bext CB we face all year in Banks.
5. Upsets occur when the better team loses...we are better. It happens.

MSU isn't terrible. IF they had beaten us last year i expect they would have looked a lot better going through the season.

They emphasize that game a little too much and sputter if they lose. All the reasons everyone has given certailny make auburn vulnerable, however all the reasons (new qb, new offense, new defense) could also be dramatic improvements. When not dealing with the very shitty MSU posters and looking at it as team vs team it wouldn't surprise me if they won this game.

It also wouldn't surprise me if we beat arky and uga either.
