But yes, that is probably the winner with 2 matchups.

LSU has only played Missouri once

Vandy and Auburn will play this year for only the 16th time since 1955 (Auburn is 13-2 since then)

Sounds like a real lopsided series then. What's Auburn's all-time series record against Vandy?

Who knows. Nobody cares about games from pre-WW2 with all white guys, 150 pound lineman and no forward pass

Odd SEC football matchups by joshua2571
I wish they would get away from permanent cross rivals. I get tired of beating up on Kentucky every year.
Kentucky has lead that series forever until State finally made it .500 last season. You must be three years old or have alzheimers

Alabama and Vanderbilt used to play each other every year. Not so much anymore. In the last 14 years Alabama has only played Vanderbilt 3 times. Since 2002 Alabama has played Vandy in Nashville once. 1 time.

Vandy and South Carolina don't even seem like they're in the same conference with us because we so rarely play them. In fact, I think we might have played South Carolina more frequently over the 25 years before they joined the SEC than in the 25 years (as of this year) that they've been in the conference. Missouri will probably never feel like a conference rival since we likely will only play them about three or four times in the average current fan's lifetime.

Yall bitch because your scared to play good teams. A&M wants to face tough teams like UGA.

Ignoring your normal moronic drivel, I have always had this complaint. As a fan of an SEC team, it is unbelievable that I never got to see my team play against Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson or Peyton Manning, three of the legendary players to come through this league. Playing other teams in your conference so infrequently is fricking stupid.

Because we play them so sporadically now it might have gone under the radar. We have a 10 win streak against Ole Miss, and are 25-5 over the last 30 games with them.

There are 15 years between our currently scheduled trips to Baton Rouge (2009 and 2024).

We need to drop the divisions. I still don't understand why the NCAA mandates two even numbered divisions in order to have a championship game.

By comparison, Auburn and Ole Miss have only played 40 times (29-11 AU) despite being in the same division and playing annually for nearly 25 years

Tennessee and Florida have only played 45 times (Florida leads 26-19) despite being in the same division and playing annually for nearly 25 years.

Tennessee and Georgia have only played 45 times (UT leads 22-21-2) despite being in the same division and playing annually for nearly 25 years.

For those saying UT hasn't played Mississippi State very often. They have played each other 45 times (UT leads 28-16-1). That means that UT has played Mississippi State exactly as many times as they have played Florida and Georgia...it is pretty crazy to envision that.

If you want two teams who haven't played each other much...look at UT and LSU. They have only played each other 32 times (UT leading 20-9-3).

Face it...many of the old 10 team SEC teams didn't face each other very often.

LSU has two in UT and UGA. We just haven't played them much history wise. More in the SEC Championship game in recent history.

Vandy too but we have some real old history with Vandy it's still not much.

Alabama vs Alabama who beats themselves.

It's a never ending battle. Alabama is undefeated in the series, while Alabama who beats themselves is winless. Very lopsided inner self rivalry they have. Fun to watch.

While true, LSU won 7 straight games from 1928-1945. Figure out the records from that time on.

Florida has won 11 straight against Tenn. Alabama's streak is at 9 games.
LSU has only beaten Tenn 9 times in their history. LSU had more victories over both Texas & Notre Dame in the 20th century than they did against the Vols. The overall record is 20-9-3, with most of Tennessee's victories coming pre-1960. The Vols dominated in the 30's & 40's. They've only played 32 games against each other, but somehow 10 of those have come since expansion to 12 teams.

LSU & Auburn were charter members of the SEC (1932), they played 9 times prior to forming the SEC, and have been in the same division since 1992. A&M only joined in 2012, but LSU has played A&M 54 times to only 50 against Auburn.

LSU won't play in the state of Missouri until 2023. Between the time Missouri joined in 2012 until then, LSU would have played non-conference games in the states of New York, Wisconsin, California, Arizona and multiple games in Texas.

LSU has played Arkansas 61 times, but only 3 times in Fayetteville.

LSU has played A&M, Arky, USCe, Mizzou, Tenn, & Ole Miss in a bowl game.

Uh, State leads 23-19, and like I stated in an earlier post it has been 16-8 State since the division split when UK became a permanent opponent.
