Auburn vs. MSU was a meat grinder of a game. The Bulldogs are beat up and wore out.

LSU just dispatched Northwestern State nonchalantly. It was about as tough as getting a haircut.

I'd say MSU fans have cause for concern.

I put the blame squarely on the head coach. He did not have that team prepared. WTF was that? The Hunchback limped back to the bell tower after his team committed so many stupid mistakes and penalties. Don't give me that crap that he is not responsible for penalties. It's the coaching staff's responsibility to have the team ready for a road game.

We're not talking about Auburn, but they did a few things well offensively. I liked how Trotter came back after that horrible INT and put it behind him.

State has a lot to correct in a hurry.

It was a helluva ride while it lasted State fans. You'll always have your memories.

I still hope Mullen goes to UG. Not so much to make you guys mad but to hurt them.

The LSU depth is going to be a problem for State.

I heard Jim Hawthorne (Voice of the Tigers) say in a rather sobering tone last night that this "is perhaps the most talented team I have ever seen at LSU". I actually got the feeling that he really was sincere.

Laying all BS aside- this team is developing into a Category 5.

SEC beware.....

So to recap:

-We told yall you would miss your LT, and you claimed it would be no big deal since you run the spread and were wrong

-We told you that you would miss your LBers and that Maye would probably suck especially since Mullen was saying he was sucking... you said this was coach speak but you were wrong

-We told you that you would miss Manny Diaz..you said you wouldn't miss him that much because Chris Wilson was co-defensive coordinator last year and they lived together or something so Chris Wilson was going to pretty much run everything just like Manny... and were wrong again..

-aaand finally we told you not to get overly excited after beating a terrible Memphis team, but you couldn't hear our warnings over the sound of you beating your own chest.

Let me taste your tears State fans

Memphis isn't all that bad. They held Arky State to 47.

State vs Memphis: 59-14

Arkansas State vs Memphis 47-3

Essentially Arkansas State scored almost as many points against Memphis as State did, while allowing 11 fewer points.

How can this be??

Something MSU can take away from this game is holding Trovon Reed to one catch for 0 yards. This guy was a heisman/biletnikoff hopefull a couple weeks ago and ya'll totally shut him down. MSU must have some sick DBs. By the way, he was also the #1 player in the state of LA a couple years ago coming out of HS, in case any of you forgot. I'm worried about RR getting shut down now.

Outside view, I think your biggest weakness is that Relf is still a suspect passer (though better than last year) and your defense appears to be generally slow.

I agree & disagree to some extent.

I think playing AUB is a whole different animal, due to the fact that Malzahn is running the offense. He just knows where to put players and how to keep you off balance. I don't think we will see another offense, that will make our defense look that bad again.

The lack of quality LB's is the downfall of MSU. If you guys had a few Bama LB's the ceiling would be a lot higher. Good luck the rest of the way.

I'll say this.....I'm not going to pick at any MSU fans on here because, so far, they've handled this loss really well. The guys over at SPS are fricking insane though.

then again......fatassdog has yet to open is trap over here.

I know LSU just shut down the Oregon O, but Newton and Masoli gave us fits last season. And Relf looks like exactly the same type of QB.

Like you, I'm cautious about ANY SEC game. But the statement about Relf is a reach to say the least. He will see blitz packages that he hasn't seen since last season's game in BR. Chief's boys will make his night a very long one. And Auburn's O-line is good but not as good as LSU's. The MSU linebackers better learn how to wrap-up in the next four days.
