Miles Petrino and Saban in the same division

No way in hell he was ever going to do anything against that. He decided to cut and run to Colorado which is a better FIT for him.

Hell yeah now I do not hate Ole Miss as much.

This will be a huge blow to Ole Miss if it turns out to be not true.

It'd be funny as hell to see how the Aspen crowd takes to that hillbilly. Nutt's straight from the cast of Deliverance, he wouldn't last a minute in some state that has indoor plumbing.

Why do people keep hiring him though? He sucks. I would much rather have a young up and coming coach like Gus, Kirby Smart or another young coordinator over him. He hasn't done anything.

That is the thing, they are not hiring him.

Nebraska legitimately flirted with Nutt. The VERY NEXT year, Nutt had a story fabricated that LSU wanted him there.

This is all he & Sexton's doing. HE is not going anywhere. He just wants money and/or wants Ole Miss fans to think they have a real catch of a coach, even after having a shitty season.

It worked here for 8 years. Then the light went off.

I have talked to Houston Nutt several times today. All I can tell you is that he has denied Colorado rumors and he has spent most of this day taking his Mom to Little Rock and contemplating how to right the ship in his program. He has told me there will be change, but did not get into specifics of personnel or organizationally. He vehemently denied the Colorado stuff more than once.

He's not going anywhere.

This is what Sexton and him do.

I don't believe for a second that CU actually wants HDN. I do believe he's pissed at Boone right now and Jimmy Sexton is doing what he always does and leaking rumors of interest in another job.

He has no problem firing Nix and Rader. From what I've heard today, Boone is asking him to fire Don Decker and Danny Nutt and he's pissed. Those are two of the inner circle and he will probably do whatever it takes to protect them.

I think it'd be hilarious to see a showdown between Nutt and Boone with the same results Cutcliffe got!

This is why I think the story of him resigning has legs. It may not be Colorado but it would not surprise me if he resigned tomorrow at his presser.

I agree. I really think he's bat shite crazy enough to resign before he would fire Markuson, Vaughn, Danny, or Decker. Shibest is probably iffy right now.

That's the main core of his clan and if he has to resign to keep that cluster together, I can see him doing that.
