None of this has anything to do with the reputation that Nick Saban is hell to work for, ever since his Michigan State days I guess.

Folks were talking about it back when he was trying to put his first staff together at LSU.

I'm just concerned for Bama fans' well being after this iron bowl

Actually more concerned for Lane's life and property

I heard the same thing from a very old friend that's a UA booster and knows several of the big UA boosters and his son is also a doctor that's a UA alum.

I've also heard the same thing from several close friends and family members of Jim Wilson.

based on fact he is not speaking to the media which is a NS rule I think he is doing a good job keeping himself in check. I think he realizes the opportunity that NS gave him after he crapped the bed at USC and wants to prove to many that he still has head coaching potential. I see at least 2 years as I don't think he leaves for an OC gig in college unless someone in the pro comes calling. Don't see that happening either

Tenn fans are better qualified than AU or bama fans to talk about Kiffin as an OC. That is all that matters with him at bama since saban doesn't let assistants say anything anyway.

Kiff was horrible at USC last year and the offense improved immediately as soon as he was gone. And he does get the blame for it because he ran the offense. Him trying the two Qb crap killed USC, so I'll reserve judgement to see how he does with a normal single Qb this year.

Saban is so difficult to work with, his entire defensive staff from 2007-2008 is back together at Alabama.

Your offense averaged 449.8 ypg, 38.5 points per game, rushed for 216.6 yards per game, passed for 233.3 yards per game under this guy.. and converted 47.76% of 3rd downs.

You think you guys voluntarily replaced him with Lane Kiffin?

Nuss left for the same reason Saban hired Kiffin. They know what is likely coming on offenses with the QBs they have and a rebuilt OLine. Nuss didn't want to be blamed for the mess and have it make him look bad. So he left while his stock was high. Saban hired Kiffin because he needs someone he can blamed the mess on and fire if it looks too bad. Most quality OCs wouldn't jump into a situation like that and somewhere they couldn't fully run their own system.

Come the frick on ...how long did it take you to devise this plan .

With the talent that Alabama had/has on offense last year Scott Loeffler couldve put up those numbers.Nuss was encouraged to look elsewhere and he did .I think Kiffin was a great hire many of you all do not .We will see in a few months.

That is just a load of crap. It never ceases to amaze me that Aubies claim to know more about what happens at Alabama than Bama fans do.

Rabern, Alabama is loaded offensively. We have as many or more high caliber skilled people than anyone. And the OLine is going to be just fine ,there is a lot of experience there plus some top notch newcomers.

It will boil down to QB and we will see how that shakes out. As far as Kiffin goes Saban has done pretty well with offensive coordinators and I think he knows a little more than you or your ITAT buds about how to run a football team.

Yeah. Bama told their OC to go because they were averaging 450+ yards and 38+ points a game. They ran him off to hire a coach that is viewed as a joke by most of the country.

About like Bama fans know more about what happens there than their coaches or ex coaches.

Not at QB and they are not loaded on the OLine. The two most important parts to an offense. Alot of experience is just another way of saying you don't have players that stand out enough to mention by name.

I don't care how much he knows or not but I do know coaches leave places all the time for better situations (including when they don't have the right players to work with or there is fixing to be a drop off in production they can't control) and not everyone in the world thinks Bama is the place they just have to be. Nuss's numbers on the field are nowhere near worthy of being ran off even at Bama.

I also know how Bama fans like to spin everything to make it seem like who ever they have at the time is the GOAT or way better than who they had and that anyone who doesn't come there or leaves is always because they didn't want them.

Nussmeier wasn't cutting it,and the Oklahoma game was the final nail. You had Derrick Henry running wild and he only gets NINE touches?

The UGA game the year before we had finessed ourselves into a hole by the half. Saban said going in we were going to run the ball more and Bama ran it down the Dawgs throats and won. A lot of observers such as myself were yelling at their TV's..RUN THE BALL! Same in the Sugar Bowl and there were other examples.

Vs. AU they have everyone up close except Aubie and in this one we are shredding your secondary and we run it right into the teeth of the D.

Nuss just wasn't a good fit. And he was encouraged to look around. Do I know all this for certain? Unlike you Rabern, I admit all this is an educated guess. But IMO it is close to what happened.
