No, see that's the difference between normal well adjusted adults and most Alabamian's. We don't get upset or mad when a 18 year old chooses another school to attend, other than the one we root for.
I think McElwain did a fantastic job of salvaging the mess of a recruiting class that Muschamp left.

Should've seen roadGator earlier. Wouldn't exactly call that "well adjusted"

Can you provide some proof of your claim that he had trouble convincing recruits he'll be successful considering he recruited at UF for 3.5 weeks and while also considering it takes months if not years to recruit these kids these days.

We aren't Bama fans. We aren't going to throw mud with you.

Can we wait until at least next year to judge his ability to "convince" kids that he'll be successful.

The early results are positive. Kids seem to like him and the HS coaches seem to have warmed up to him fairly quickly. He's got some good to great recruiters on staff too. It'll take a cycle but we'll get there.

It also shouldn't take three seasons if he can get the offensive recruiting back to normal from the low point Muschamp left it.

What struggles are we talking about here? You are aware that Muschump has not seen UF play while being coached by Mac don't you. Surely you know this.

What off the field struggles? Haven't seen many struggles in the 3.5 weeks he's been at UF.

The off the field struggles I am talking about, are convincing recruits that his program will be successful in the SEC. Muschamp could hang his hat on his Defenses, McElwain will struggle on Offense next year again and will see a drop off on D. I do not think most UF fans will be patient enough for him to turn things around in the three seasons it will take.

Why would Florida suffer that big of a drop off in defense, the only major player we lose is Fowler (which admittedly will hurt), and for all the hype Boom gets from some people on here it's not like he exactly improved Florida's defense from what it was when he was hired (seriously look as y the statistics Florida, like Bama and LSU is basically going to be top 10-20 defense every year barring massive attrition).

No idea who you are but I'm still waiting for these links to my "supposed" melt.

Well to be fair he is probably going to be in the Florida record books forever for one of his defenses, now admittedly it's due to giving up the most yards in school history but still.

He'll have several dubious records to be remembered by.

WM can eat an entire bag of dicks today, tomorrow and the next day. If we ever hire another former UG player, let him ruin our program and then pay him to recruit against us...

I don't know about you, but this feels kinda melty

Based on Muschamps previous stops (AU,TX,LSU), he has an ability to maximize that Defensive talent that he is given. UF lost some of its best talent on D this year, and they still do not have an answer at QB. McElwain will improve the Offense next year, but only equal to the decline of the Defense. We saw it with Gus his first year. The Defense still sucked, but the Offense made up for the defensive deficiencies.

In what way did Muschamp maximize talent at Florida or Texas, he took a bunch of talent he was given put out good but by no means overachieving defenses and then when he left those teams had less talent since he didn't recruit as well as his predecessors.

Hell, Muschamp put out at best equal defenses to the person he replaced at Florida.

FL won 11 games Muschamps first year because of the D. UM was 7-6 the year before, with a very average D. I would say he upgraded that Defense.

Incorrect. You also seem to have a crystal ball using some very definitive language.

We'll be fine.

Has WM reversed his stance on Gus's offense publicly yet?

WM was not hired by Gus to have a great D, just an average one. If WM is smart, he will learn a little Offense while around Gus.

Link to his stance?

Saban bitched more than just about anyone except Bielema about HUNH before realizing he should work it into his own system this season.

If he's capable of conquering his own ego to adapt I imagine anyone is.

pretty sure UF was an outstanding program until he came along… UF's program has a lot more to brag about than auburn's

I'm not looking for old press conferences but I'm assuming that you didn't hear him during many pressers during his failure at UF.

You are going to have to trust me on this one. I've never lied to you.
