I tend to agree with the OP somewhat - ESPN built both of these games up like these were the greatest teams ever and maybe they were but when they played each other it was two boring arse games. Resembled World Cup. Gooooooaaaaaal Smelley.......

It's like any game when one team decides not to show up, it sux - but when those teams can't score often it sux even worse. I think Bama had same number of field goal attempts as game one - they just switched the miss and made's and LSU didn't have any shots on goal. Sorry but from a fans perspective everyone feels duped.

This thread actually made me feel better...

And this post:
quote:

Did Oregon defeat: The Rose Bowl Champ, the Cotton Bowl Champ, the Orange Bowl Champ, plus the Music City, Chik fil A, and Gator Champs and Outback runner-up?

BTW, LSU scored 500 points this year. We had one bad game, but still finished 2nd in the nation and the best record in the nation, and won the championship of the best conference in the nation.

...put everything into perspective.

I agree, but it's ESPN's fault they made the "Game of the Century" absolutely meaningless. I heard UA was going to go ahead and claim SEC champions as well. Watch for it to be added in the 2020 media guide.

What an ignorant and stupid fanbase you belong to. But y'all sure do have purty outfits.

I hate those damn uniforms. It's football, not Star Wars. I think the word for them is gaudy. To me they are the ugliest uniforms in college football.

Last time I checked LSU was in the endzone more than Oregan when they played. And to address that bama and LSU don't have play makers....each team was represented in NY for the Heisman.

Why does every Oregon fan on here sound like a 12 year old kid who's never been to Oregon?

This thread finally made me feel better about what happened Monday.

I've got mad respect for Alabama. Oregon...maybe not so much.

Might as well add BCS Champs to that list.

Hey idiots! Nov 05 & Jan 09 was the two worst college games ever televised in USA history! ESPN did y'all a dis-favor. Those games were 100% useless hype! ESPN has learn from this mistake and I am sure that they will not advocate for this bullshait again! The sport fans said No, but ESPN pushed it down our throats anyway! It turn out the be a disaster. ( Twice ) Sport fans around the country was expecting to watch some football but got some cheesy kickball instead. Are you mutha freaks blind and deaf? This not about Oregon! Our program is doing excellent and next season can't get here quick enough. This post is about millions of football fans being lured to watch 2 shitty games that was all hype! Let me see, they played 8 quarters with multiple fields goals along with multiple misses! The first game ends with a 9 to 6 score on the losers home field. The 2nd game ends 21 to 0 in the loser home state. Once again field goals was the score of choice. The losing team treated us to some shitty coaching and play. I have never witness anything like that on any level. ESPN and the talking heads thought this would be the best match up while the rest of the country was screaming OSU or Stanford! Who wants to see 2 teams from the same conference play over and over again? This joke by espn backfired and the country is saying " I told you so" We the people of the United States do not want to witness this bull shait ever again!! Is that freaking clear? !!!!
