You missed the point. You can twist ND's and Bama's numbers around any way you want but the point wasn't as much there numbers as who they got those numbers against. ND got their numbers playing a parochial schedule while Bama got their numbers while playing an AAU schedule.

ETA: I don't even think you read my post (it was kind of long). I did the exact same thing you did with opponent scoring offenses and did the same with total offense and defense and scoring defense. Maybe you're missing your own point, IDK.

Been there, seen that. You're going in circles again. Yes, you get a bump for playing a soft Oklahoma team because they were 10-2 even though their best win was over maybe a weak 8-4 Texas team. Look at it this way, there is a reason the bowls have these matchups:

#9 SEC v. #5 Big East
#8 SEC v. #3(5) Big 10
#7 SEC v. #4 ACC
#6 SEC v. #2(3) Big 10
#5 SEC v. #2 Big 12
#4 SEC v. #2 ACC
#3 SEC v. #1(2) Big 10
#2 SEC v. #1 Big East

I didn't even mention Oklahoma at all (by name) in my last post (I included their numerical ranking, just like I did every team on ND's and Bama's schedules. I did the same thing you did with scoring offense and did it with scoring defense. I don't see why you can do it for that, but I can't with mine, unless you just don't want to examine all of the facts.

Nearly every strength of schedule ranking says ND's was tougher. It's great the SEC is the best conference, no denial. But Alabama never faced UF. Alabama never faced USCe. It doesn't impact their schedule rating outside of "opponents' opponents" record, and even when taken into account, ND's is tougher.

That comment was about the strength of schedule post you made, not the list of stats that you or I can twist to suit our argument.

We're just going in circles. The circle will be broken in a few weeks and we'll find out.
